I posted this and I wondered why the heck I am putting myself through this. Show is unsalvageable at this point and my fav characters getting exactly nil to do. But then I remembered I cared enough to watch and dissect, so when it's going downhill its my bloody right to bash it. I paid for the channel and channel using my money to fund this. I contribute to trp and I also pay for the net to watch it online (legal and illegal ways). So I will very much rant, people who liking it please hit backspace. I don't want to know how its going good and story, actress, blah blah. Don't care. I am in grief now. Please extend the courtesy.
So epi started and in seconds it bitchslapped me to remind me why I was so pissed yesterday. Assasin and Mr. Loverboy walks in (btw they were wearing that dress which ashish posted) they were holding hands, and dev addressed her as Mrs Burman. And i went and took a shower, cause I care enough for show, characters and story to upset myself over it. Always have, and it hurts paritcularly bad cause Crime is like my genre, I invest in it. Arjun messed me up so bad that it took me years to recover, I still didn't recover it. Now this, it stings at a much lower level but hurts nonetheless, cause it bloody had potential! The execution of first 10/12 epis were amazing, hard hitting cases, Ashish slayed Dev, Amod was amazing and though he was opposite him he was not a jerk. Apa was there, Meera the novice who started to learn things, Damle abdul was there. Madhubala the cat was there. Perfect mix of humour, chemistry and seriousness. No wonder it had 1trp at the stat without much promotion, and with messed up schedules! Colors basically treated it like stepkid and yet it was good. There was season2 talks even before it ended cause they had faith in the product. Now? Not only there is a chance that s2 is going to get middle finger, but also it should be a lesson for all Crime shows in future that how you dont write, dont execute a show based solely on a male lead.
How on earth it makes sense? Dev, for all his greyness did stand up for what's right. He manipulated, blackmailed people but for greater good. What greater good is here? If the creep baba dies yes girls will get freed, what about what's right, what should be? Aka Mehak the assassin getting her due for killing swamiji who was apparently like his father? He throws these words so lightly- father figure, partner, family, yet does nothing to validate those statements. So hollow and empty, and it makes no sense cause this is same guy who knows amod despite his reservation will always help him. He trusts that much even though he do not. Deep down he maybe even care for him like that, why not same things for others? I am not saying cause of Meera, apa? that lady was a second mom and how he treats her? His foster dad who ididn't even get invite for his wedding? what on earth is this, who is writing this bs?
btw creep baba is so awesome he knows mehak's loverboy detective burman👏👏 How? who knows.
