SS: Rajveer Naina - Guilty as Charged

The entire KMA gang is in Delhi for their annual get together. Shalini had organized a pooja for the wellbeing of Naina and Raj's baby. Naina had had a miscarriage shortly after getting married and both she and Raj were being extra careful this time.

It is half hour after the pooja was supposed to start and Naina was nowhere to be found. Raj was very worried

Shalini: Major, she'll be fine. She must have gotten stuck somewhere.

Raj: Shal just see how strong the rain is! I wonder if she's ok?

Shal: Your wife is very strong major. A captain in the army.

Raj: You know what happened last time. We didn't even know she was pregnant and she miscarried.

Just then Naina walked in. She was drenched in rain. Everyone started asking her questions. But she didn't say a word. Raj rushed to get a towel and walked up to her. He put his hands on hers and immediately Naina pushed him away.

She then slapped him hard on his face.

Everyone was shocked! Except Raj and Alekh.

Raj: Naina.. let's talk after the pooja. This is for our baby.. your anger is on me...

Naina: You think I'll sit in a pooja... with you?

A gasp went around the room...

Huda finally spoken up,

Huda: Phoolan what are you saying. Rajveer sir did everything to prove your brother's innocence. Don't you remember how badly he was injured.

Naina: That doesn't change the fact that he killed my brother. And hid this fact from me for the last 5 years! 5 years in which he was my boyfriend, my husband and now the father of my unborn child..

See he isn't even defending himself.

Pandit: Beta... you both should come... we need to start the pooja.

Naina sat in the pooja while Raj stood far away. Everyone else was shocked. Naina finished the pooja and got up to go to the room, She started packing her things up. Raj tried stopping her but she pushed away his hand!

Raj: Naina don't go anywhere... we can talk. First have something to eat, You look very weak...

Naina: What wil happen if I dont eat? Will i die of hunger? How does that bother you? You are used to killing people, aren't you?

everyone had left their house by then. Naina walked outside in the rain dragging her suitcase.

She tripped and was about to fall! Raj balaced her.

Raj: Naina... for god sake.. think about the baby. Our baby..

Naina: I hadn't even thought of that. That I am carrying a killer's flesh and blood within me.

Raj: Naina please dont say anything.. you love it so much.

Naina: After finding out your truth, I dont even know if I want to carry this baby to term? How can I love a baby whose father I hate?

Raj: Stop Naina! Stop before you say something you don't mean! Remember how broken you were when you had the miscarriage last year!

Naina: I didn't know you were my brother's killer then.

Raj: Naina!!! Please stop it and hear me out

Raj: I had been on an undercover mission when Naveen was arrested and I didn't know anything sbout it. As I was getting out I was told that an undertrial had run away from the army jail. My team had to track him down.

Raj: I had no idea. My team was chasing him and he fired at them to defend him. He was at a height and i shot to save my team. It was only when we went to the body that I discovered it was Naveen!

Naina: And what did you do? Shoot him again?

Raj: Naina...please... I didn't. I wanted to kill myself. I was this close!

Naina softened as she saw the anguish in Raj's eyes. But then her brothers face flashed in front of her and she got furious again!

Naina: And then what? Never bothered telling me about what happened??

Raj: I did get a medal and it's the biggest burden of my life! I did want to tell you. But I never found the right time. Initially I knew you would never take my help in provving naveen's innocence if you knew the truth. Later...Later i fell in love with you and was scared of losing you. Naina: Don't grag other people into this! You did what you had to and now I 'll do what I want to.

She removed her wedding ring and handed it to raj and walked away.

Raj fell down on the road; crying in pain... all his guilt of killing naveen, hiding things from Naina and now losing her.

Naina was completely unresponsive over the next week and raj was very concerned... He decided to talk to Shalini who was also naina's gynaec.

Shalini: She's fine raj. Her blood pressure is high but nothing concerning

Raj: What else... has she said something.. anything else. you are hiding something from me! I can see it in your face!...

Shalini: Raj... I... Naina...I cant betray her trust.. I am her doctor.

Raj got up and banged his fist on the wall.He started walking out.

Shalini:Where are you going?

Raj: To talk to Naina..

No she only wanted to kill rajveer's child...Rajveer her brother's killer. The man who had betrayed her.

But the child belonged to her! And she loved rajveer. Or at least she used to.

She was caught up in these conflicting emotions, when she suddenly realized that Rajveer was sitting in the living room.

Naina: How dare you? How dare you come inside my house without persmission? Leave now.

Raj: Naina... Listen to me! Please...

Naina: Leave right now.

Raj: Not before getting answers to my questions. You are considering an abortion?

Naina: Who told you? Shalini? She shouldn't have done that...

Raj: I have a right to know. I am the father.

Naina: Right.. Interesting. So you think you can force me to carry this baby to term?

Raj: I can definitely stop you from an abortion. That's my baby too.

As Raj was walking out Naina called from behind

Naina: Where's Bhaiya's body? We never got it. They told us that it's against rules to hand it over. But I know that's not true

Raj: I genuinely don't know. One of the reasons this whole affair was classified was because we never found Naveens body.

After firing i ran up the cliff and found Naveen lying on the ground. I went crazy when I realized that I had shot my best friend. Then there was more firing. My team dragged me away. When I came back half hour later, Naveen's body wasn't there and we never found him!

Naina staggered and Raj ran to support her.

Naina: you mean Bhaiya could be alive. My Bhaiya could be alive

Raj: don't be crazy! I had fired an entire round at him. When I last saw him he was bleeding profusely and unconscious. We never found his body...

Naina: don't call it his body! I am sure my Bhaiya is alive. I am going to get to the bottom of this.

Raj: you are not going to get involved in this... it's too dangerous. I have pursued this matter for years and the best conclusion is that he is dead!

Naina: but you had no intention to get to the bottom of this. You have a conflict of interest.

Raj: I have a conflict of interest??? Really. I'd be the happiest person alive of Naveen was alive.

Raj stormed into Nainas house. He found her lying in her bedroom pain visible on her face.

His anger vanished and he ran to her concerned

Raj: what happened?

Naina: nothing

Raj: I am asking you something.

Naina: I fell down. Don't worry I saw shalini. The baby is ok. But I can't take painkillers. So...

Raj: are you insane? I am asking you to leave this. I'll handle...

Naina: And I have told you I don't trust you. You don't care enough.

Raj: Damn it Naina. You are too stubborn and are willing to put or child at risk?

Naina: I am not. I am fine.

Raj went away. Worried and concerned. He knew Naina wouldn't give up and he had ominous feeling about her investigation.

A month later his worst fears came true.

Shalini: Raj can you come to the military hospital?

Naina was in an accident. She was hit by truck.

Raj immediately realized that this was because of the investigation.

He rushed to the hospital.

Raj: how's Naina? She's fine right.

Shalini: Raj Naina is critical but out of danger. She had severe injuries and a lot of bleeding

Raj: but she'll be fine right?

Shalini: yes

Raj: thank god! I would have died if anything happened to Naina. She's my life. My everything

Shalini: Raj. There's something else. I am sorry we couldn't save the baby. The trauma was too severe and at 6 months of pregnancy...

Raj was in a daze. He finally spoke a few minutes later

Shalini: a girl. Raj where are you going? Naina needs you.

Naina regained consciousness and was devastated to learn about her miscarriage. Alekh and shalini had a hard time holding together.

As she began recovering she realized that Raj hadn't come. Not once. He didn't pick Yo her calls. Despite shalini warnings she went to meet him the moment she was discharged

She was shocked when she walked into his house. It was a mess. She made her way to the bedroom and found Raj sitting on the floor drinking whisky from a bottle. This wasn't her Raj. She could see how devastated he was

Naina: Raj.

Raj looked up and his eyes softened briefly. But he quickly turned away

Raj: leave. You shouldn't be here

Naina/ I need to talk to you. We need to talk. We lost our baby...

Raj: our baby. Haaah.

He clenched his wrist and stopped

Raj: Naina leave before I say something awful.

Naina: Say it! I feel what you are going through

Rajs control broke.

Raj: you do really? You wanted to abort the baby. Miscarriage must have been simpler?

You didn't care for the baby! Only I did. You killed my baby. You did it!

Your stubbornness denied me the only chance of having a relationship defined by blood. You snatched my child from me. My daughter.

Naina was shocked and pained.

Raj gained control and asked her to leave.

A week later he went to meet Naina.

Raj: I am sorry. I spoke too much.

Naina: Raj../

Raj: Naina let me complete. I know you didn't want this to happen. But your carelessness caused it. I can see why you never forgave me for Naveens death. It's the same way o can't forgive you for losing my child.

This anger and bitterness will kill us! We need to stop.

Naina we should divorce each other.
