EDT~ ep 6. 30.10.17.My Stance~ breathe new life into..
The strong , stubborn ones take up challenges in life at achieving what they aim for, like there's no turning back. Such kind are ones who are fired with the ability , to restore that which may well be lost. Often their passion to gain may blind them to see what? and how much? is at stake in their quest to achieve what they strive for. This may well be true in relationships as one person's well meaning towards another may amount to choking life out of that person, rather than breathing life into them.
Today's episode for me is about Vyom's attempt, to stir the embers of his so to speak past emotional bond with Sharanya. Whereas he fans the flame of her partial memory by leaving clues around like her diary, and references to her past words to him. Sharanya puts out the past lights he strikes! by sounding, nonplussed, dismissive and at times she even loses her rag! But for Vyom, it 's all about breathing new life into her, based on times they shared two years ago, he continues to feed the fire of the past, which she is utterly and totally is oblivious off..
Her fingers move in search of a hand that she probably clung to in the coma of the two misplaced years of her life. However the reality is now she is back to normalcy , awake in the present day. Yet, she retains the habit of hanging on to a palm that always slips away from hers, leaving her panic stricken! The call for her mother brings Vyom in! ready to serve and woo her! Vyom's input into her family certainly pays off! As Sharanya is readily left under Vyom's supervision , not for care, but more so that he can jog her memory . Where needs be court her , leave an impression upon her in word and deed ! But he impresses her not. Instead he baffles her, a rich man like him, pottering about her is there any need ? she can manage .. but Vyom charms her by fanning the flame of love by quoting an old saying with adaptations to suit his needs.. relaying his repetitive message, the saying goes one looks for someone to spend their whole life with.. but the story of his life is looking for that someone without whom he cannot live his life! he impresses her, that all he asks for is one chance.. to prove his love.. she retorts, for a love that is proved is not love but mere pretension! Hot coffee and not his talks somewhat, stimulates Sharanya to show appreciation for his beside manner. Vyom leaves with a cocksure, determined attitude that, as sure as doomsday his memory will recur in her mind and even if it doesn't he'll ensure yet again he'll stir the embers of love and both will make new moments!!
Vyom before Maata in the family domestic worship area is a scene where he complains and shows defiance before the goddess. Bitterness that she has returned not his Sharanya who loved him! but an unwholesome Sharanya to him.. She has deleted the girls mind where he existed! and as such he will come before the goddess often, to impress Sharanya her devout believer.. as for him, he'll worship the goddess on the condition when and if she grants his memory ,his past significance in Sharanya's present life! Vyom leaves abruptly and suddenly the lamp stand divas alight before the goddess snuff out! Vyom has to learn that the goddess has to be worshipped unconditionally , not on his terms , but on what she grants! By the looks of it , Vyom with Sharanya is a blessing rejected by the mother goddess..
Sharanya lights up candles, ready to breathe life into herself ,on her terms.. hums a new song, of life prepares herself for a soak in the bath, comes across her diary.. reads her composed verses.. about one her imagination weaved, a young man, her soul mate ,she craves to be one with .. till their two souls dwindle into one.. the water ripples as the bath fills up. It will be an ablution of herself , cleansing herself of her past infirmity.. does that suggest, further washing away of Vyom from her life? two years of coma removed some, now she wants to do the rest? does he mean anything to her?
In the main, seems like both families give them chances to revive their past but the technique may vary. Where Bhists uses gentle persuasion. Rajan Bedi is forcefully desperate to ensure Vyom stays by Sharanya.. is he wary of what the girl might cough up if her memories begin to revive? Does Rajan Bedi use Vyom as a sentinel to watch over Sharanya? Madhvi Bedi Vyom's mother who I saw more of negative character, appears sincere in her love for her son Vyom. She is also strong enough to face up to her husband's wrath by reiterating that Sharanya is not the right girl for Vyom. She probably is anxious as Vyom got himself in a pickle due to Sharanya.. even now the girl appears ,from Madhvi's point of view to be between them. But Vyom's mother suffers a lot at the hands of Rajan Bedi for not letting Vyom actively care for Sharanya.
The bathroom scene is vivid in terms of contrast. One side we have Vyom with his simmering yet restrained passion for Sharanya.The other side we have the puzzling phantom presence of Shiv with cool ripples ,flowing, contained watery images in the bath tub..sharanya's playful therapeutic weightless floating of her hand in the bath water! like a soul almost wanting to be free of her body!
Where Vyom ignites the flames in the kitchen to prepare her breakfast! The bath water, froths, with icy smoke, and magically solidifies into a sheet of ice, Sharanya hand lies frozen in the icy white slab! She shouts! in horror! And Vyom beckons to her call! and the ice melts back to icy cold water! Symbolically it was probably a call from Shiv to collect Sharanya from the land of the living! But the attempt fails.. due to Vyom's intrusion.. To me, Sharanya's shows signs of turning cold emotionally towards Vyom. His attempt to save her from harm, is seen as taking liberties by barging into her bathroom! Where she may well have be bathing! Vyom is brisk to turn the situation, as his integrity is at stake! Dramatically he blind folds himself! To show he respects her privacy! Carries her rather gallantly in his arms despite her protests! fumbles his way back to her room blinded and places her gingerly on her bed! The blindfold ,a symbol of a state of being in the dark..applies more than anyone else to Sharanya she has lost two years of her life! is in the dark about both Vyom and Shiv! while both in their own inimitable ways have her on their scanners!
Even blindfolded, Vyom applies some ointment on her feet? Strange it was her hand that froze.. somehow him being blindfolded gives her the benefit of the doubt that he lusts not for her body.. but there is one being who makes its presence known in busting bulbs! blowing curtains! does this being suspect Vyom's intent over Sharanya! Vyom says the lines women like to hear from a man, respect for her grace and dignity.. he impresses upon her that physical attraction is temporary.. he stood by her while she was in a vegetable state.. for the past two years.. it 's because he loved her. Is there a degree of truth in what he says? or can these lines be applicable to Shiv? a being that floats around Sharanya.. she too notices changes in her surroundings.. Vyom woos her, she was first his habit, then need and now she is his way of life!
A spirit feels the dire need to form itself.. out of the bath water rises a man's figure! glass smashes, a bulb fuses! Sharanya does not need Vyom's support around her, her parents will return shortly! Vyom retorts , but he waits upon her trusting him.. and to win her trust he can wait a life time.. Voice over of Shiv's voice in the bathroom..an incomplete story waits to conclude.. when I will die is yet to come..hamlet53 31.10.17
Well the three central leads feature in a big way. Two face to face, and the third oversees them.Vyom is set out to make new memories..as in when the bulb goes, like her memory of him.. all he needs to do is replace the fused bulb with a new one and let there be light! only problem is the bulb will keep fusing! As there is a defect in the wiring and connection! Sharanya continues to be in the dark.. precap.. Vyom literally tells his mother , Sharanya is his life long need... Sharanya even on her own, feels some one around her...
