I want to preface this by saying, I don't support most of Arshi's antics and vulgarity but this is just too much. I won't get into how Salman uses her as a weekly punching bag and treats her like the Bermuda Triangle of all of the house's problems 😕😕
What I will get into is that the channel cannot see that, beyond the nighties and ahaaas, Arshi is firstly a woman. And no woman should be falsely accused of being something she is not, especially on national television. What I'm alluding to is the whole Arshi being transgender issue--which is clearly bogus. From what angle does she look trans? It's not some joke or gaali you can throw around lightly. It's equally as hurtful to those who actually are transgender.
When Sabya passed that transgender comment a few weeks ago on WKW, Salman made a mockery out of it by simply bringing it up and put Arshi is such an uncomfortable situation thereafter. He casually just brushed over the issue and said nothing in Arshi's defense. It should be clear that no one has the right to just say someone is transgender on a whim--that's probably as personal as it gets man. Even if it's meant to be a joke. It's worse that the channel decided to air that crap.
But the WORST was the subtly in which they used it to demean her in today's episode. It didn't involve Arshi directly but someone else playing Arshi's role-- A MAN ...Dressed like a Arshi. 😡😡😡 LIKE W*F? Do they think we are dumb? That we can't catch on? Is that not personal defamation of someone's character?
And to emphasize further that this is exactly what they were trying to allude to, they make Hina's role-player a what? YEP. A WOMAN 🤢 It really saddens me to see that the channel themselves are trying to profit over such baseless speculation on a woman's inherent identity.
I don't care how much Salman spoke for Arshi today, by doing this, the channel has proved otherwise.
