I am talking about AB jr.
Many have anticipated he can replace BIG B watching his persona, especially with the buzz of jp dutta's aakhri mughal.

then things didnt workout. his first 12 films got flopped.
People stated he cant reach his father atleast.

Then a good phase came with few hits.
viewers thought he can reach khans level in future hopefully being the only son of BIG B, if not at BIG B's.

Post marriage to ash in 2007, his career took a literal nose dive and with each passing year let alone khans, he is struggling even to become a recognizable actor in bollywood history' pages.

Do you think any chance left now for Abhishek to bounce back and to be atleast a successful actor if nothing more ?

the thanda response is evidence enough that hardly anyone remained interested in Abhishek bachchan.
What a sad state about the one who once has been taught as the janasheen of Big B.

No, I don't think there is any chance for him to bounce back, he is not hero material although he acts better than most newcomers, I think he should've go like Nawaz and Irrfan Khan's way and work on some art films, if he didn't marry Ash and work with Rani on few more movies, then his career would've probably do little better.

he should do a well made action film, have good body, have to work really hard.
there is a better option, he should do the biography of his father. abhishek bachan as amitabh bachan will work..pakka.

I am seriously confused how come his JOURNEY OF SUCCESS with hits like dhoom, bunty aur bubbly and critically acclaimed Yuva and Guru SUDDENLY come to an end so abruptly...just after getting married to Ash.

MORE SURPRISING for me is :
the same industry who gave him chance after chance after his first 12 consecutive flops, why that same industry didnt gave him more chances as lead after just a few flops of him that too after a number of hits ?

No.

And who thought with those minimal hits he could 'at least' reach the popularity of the Khans and when ? 😆

He was on his way to become big...even his performances especialy in Yuva and GURU were so much appreciated.
People thought he will continue the success string, and will reach a much expected superstar level (expected from BIG B' son) with continuous success. ...but...

Abhishek despite being a good actor, lacks the drive and ambition to be a superstar. He just wants success but is not ready to work hard for it.

This has nothing to do with marriage or whatever, it's simply his lack of ambition. He wants success, so he takes the easy route, by starring in big mult-starrer films like HNY or Dhoom.

But if the question is if he can bounce back? Sure he can, if he finds his enthusiasm for movies again and is also ready to WORK hard for it. But in all probability it will not happen.

Edit: It's such a shame because he's one of the few lead actors who can do both comedy (Dostana, Bunty aur Babli, HNY) as effortlessly as he can do intense films (Guru, Sarkar, Yuva).
