Even I feel this "Twist" was an Anti climax. We didnt really getting anything much from it, other than the scene where Neil tells Avni he loves her. I dont have an issue with any of that. But even for me the "Plan" is full of holes. They did all this drama just so they can fool everyone or let's say Vidyut into thinking that they were playing into his hands. Simple as that? Juhi still looks damned cagey to me.
I agree with someone else here, tracks like this where Ex comes back, she says her kid is the male lead's etc, always lands in an unholy mess. People hate such tracks and they stop watching. Hope they dont drag it so much that by the end of this track, no one is invested. People thought Neil was "different" but then he turned out to be just like any other guy with a whole heap of baggage and a kid to boot! Wow, what a Price! If he was married to Rhea there would have been HELL to pay. She would have either divorced him or given him an ultimatum to choose her or the kid, and walked out. Neil should thank his lucky stars he is married to Avni not Rhea.
AvNeil are still beautiful. But a bit of the shine has come off them. That is mostly coz of the Blase handling of this kid truth. Bebe and Prakash act like it's quite normal for their then 22 year old son to have got a girl pregnant just before planning to leave for further studies. Only Shweta appears to appreciate the gravity of him being an Un-wed Father and what that says about how she brought him up. Can we expect SOME realism from the rest of the Khanna's? Yes this is Neil's past. But Avni is a woman in love, she is a Wife for crying out loud. What wife wants to hear her husband Fathered another woman's child? Past or not? It is NOT normal. I am a wife myself. If I heard such a thing it would hurt me so much. Not coz my husband cheated me. (which he did not). But because I am #Human! Is Avni not allowed to have the feelings of any "Normal" woman? In her "Quest" to prevent another Ananya Verman, she forgets this child is her husband's kid with another woman. The kid already has a Mother. Yes Neela brought her up and she is an example to her. So was that conversations with Neela also fake? No I think THAT was real.
The Juhi suicide was not a drama. So that means Neil running off and then telling Juhi he will always be there for her and the kid were also true. Avni looked upset and then that convo with Neela. At least a part of that was an act, coz Neela told her not to sacrifice her love and she didn't answer. So she wanted Neela to believe she had sacrificed her love. I preferred it when Avni was shown feeling Insecure when Neil was talking of Juhi when they discovered she was alive. Her thinking that maybe Neil still loved her. THAT was normal. This is something else. Even I feel they are trying too hard to justify the "name" of the show, and also trying to do an "Itehaas Dohorana" track just to show how Neil is the opposite of Ashish and how Mishti because of the support of all will not become another Avni!
What they FORGOT is that their old story never got them TRP! AvNeil and their love story did. So by showing Avni as Neela and Neil as Ashish and Juhi as Aisha, this is really NOT giving people any thrills. In fact it's a Buzz Kill!
