What was happening in bollywood, in the year you were born in ? You can post pics too if you want

For me (1983), some of the news:

- Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh make their big much awaited debut with Betaab

- Jackie Shroff becomes a huge star with the movie Hero

- Anil Kapoor gets his first hit with Woh Saat din

- Amitabh recovers from his bad accident

- Sanjay Dutt goes to America for treatment for his drug addiction

- Dev Anand and Shashi Kapoor introduce their sons, but they fail

What else happend in 83?

Forgot to add:

Sri Devi gets her first major hindi hit with Himmatwala

Jeetendra gets a big hit in Himmatwala after a very long time (This film saves his sinking career)

1987 was a bad year for films. I will add more about the gossip but I think Mr. India is the only noteworthy film that released.
