koolsadhu and gp00, i totally agree with both of you. i think at least SP showed how poorly piya was treated (as if she were "impure") after the rape, but they did not address any resolution other than to get her married. what about counseling? i also don't think that either of the families in SP or KS reacted in a way that was appropriate. i mean most of the family members didn't even cry. if (god forbid) i were raped, my mom would be absolutely shattered.

gp00, these serials have a very clear idea of what the ideal indian woman is, perhaps because they do not want to offend anyone. in fact i think i'm going to start a new discussion about this now 😛
