I want to know who are his parents, does he have any siblings? where did he study? did he went to college? why did he decided to come into dramas? how many dramas, web series, movies he has done so far?, who is his wife, how many kids he has got? what are his likes and dislikes e.g. what his favourite colour?, what is his favourtie fruit?, Is he closer to his mom or dad, is he on twitter/instagram/facebook or Indian forums? Is his wife presenton any of these social websites? where does he live permanently? is there anyway to pass on my best wishes to him?

His dad's name is Raj Sobti, he has a sister ...Richa Arora ..you will sometiems come across photos of his niece ( sister Richa's daughter )

his personal life :

He is from delhi normal middle class guy .He never thought he would be an actor .He actually wanted to be a football coach .He studied till his twelfth standard then due to his families financial constraints opted for working in a telecom company .

He fell in love with his wife pashmean when he was about 14 years .

They studied in the same school . She went australia after her schooling . They were in long distance relationship for 5 years .

proffesional life

Barun used to do part time modelling when he came to mumbai .He and Anuj (Who was his roommate for 3 years ) were good friends . His first show was shradda aired in star plus

He was a villain in the show .it ran for 80 episodes . It flopped

then barun was in cinevastaas auditioning . He auditioned for the role of Dr siddhant modi . He was approved by the creatives of cine vastaas too but stars creative team did not agree for it and he was cast as Dr . RAJ.

it was the role of a drug addict .

His friend didn't wanna act in one show and asked Barun if he wanted to go for audition. He passed that audition acted in a show titled Shradhdha ( 2009). He played a negative role who tricked the heroine to fall for him so that he can take her property. He later falls in love with the girl and tells her the truth. The show was not a hit.

Then he played a Drug addict in a doctor show , he was noticed for his good acting.

Then in 2010 , he played a irresponsible spoilt son with a good heart in Baat Hamari Pacci Hai. His role was comical. He proved himself as a comedy actor and many people took notice of him. His fanclubs started growing at that time. You can find all the episodes of BHPH on youtube

Then he starred as Arnav Singh Raizada ( 2011-2012) . He played a reclusive tycoon who was damaged in childhood bcos of his parents unnatural death. He becomes more interested in money than romantic relations. His life starts changing when he meets and falls in love with a girl names Khushi. He later finds out Khushi's aunt is responsible for his parent's death. This show made him an international star. Hotstar has all the episodes.

He acted in several movies .. Main aur Mr. Riight ( available on netflix ) 2014.

He shot for another movie 22 Yards .. Will be released in 2018

His recent tv show was IPKKND3 ( which you probably have seen ) it's available on hotstar .

In every show his acting was praised . There is no doubt that he is the best actor on small screen right now. He got offers to do many shows and movies but he only chose the ones where his character can is interesting and story is good. He never went after money of fame . That's why u see him in small budget films. His fans love him not because he is good looking and a good actor ..but he is a phenomenal human being. Honest , down to earth , loyal , no air of stardom. You will not regret being a fan of this man.

He is from Delhi. He met his wife in St. MArks School , mirabag, Delhi ... They hung out as friends and when she went to Melbourne for higher studies, they realised they were in love and got married in 2010.

He doesn't like mango cake ( that's what many fans thought he likes)

He finished high school and then studied online , never went to regular college but finished college degree OL. His wife works for a multinational company and supported him during his down times.

He is only on twitter @BarunSobtiSays ... He doesn't interact with fans online at all ... He is a very private person

He is close to his mom. He lives in Mumbai now but visits family in Delhi once inawhile

I am really surprised that he has worked in so many projects already. I am going to look for all these dramas one by one.I will probably see the movies first as they are smaller. Has he done any theater work or radio show?

Other than being a fabulous actor, he is a really, really nice person and is known to have an impeccable work ethic. He doesnt show any airs and graces and is really down to earth. He also has a fantastic group of friends that include Sanaya Irani (costar from season 1), Mohit Sehgal (sanayas husband), Gautam Hegde (writer of IPK 1), Akshay Dogra (costar from s1) and akshays wife, Ridhi dogra and Raqesh Bapat and Daljeet Kaur (costar from s1). Daljeet calls him her brother because he stood by her when she was going through a terrible divorce from an abusive husband. Other than that,I dont think anyone has anything bad to say about him. He is very real and always says that he doesnt run after money because he wants to do work which makes him happy. He has been offered multiple roles by huge production houses but he didnt take them up because he didnt feel satisfied because of the environment or something. So, for him, its not about doing a big budget show or movie, its more about personal satisfaction that he achieves from his work. Other than that, he's very, very private about his personal life so doesnt use social media other than twitter (which he only started to use for THMS promotions). If you get a chance to watch THMS, youl see that the character he is portraying is pretty much like him in real life.
