It's great to hear everyone's perceptions about Anami and Satrupa more importantly.
There is a saying which is used in one of the promos of the serial "Mata kabhi kumata nahi hoti
There are various points about Satrupa that many may land up overlooking due to which she does appear a "Kumataand also self centered hungry for money etc etc
However, when I look at her character she is indeed an excellent person who is only trying to deal what the situations threw at her which she said in yesterday's episode
I agree with Ssanjinika and My two cents are
Satrupa once blamed her Father in law for tricking her into marrying Baldev which means given a choice knowing baldevs past she would not have married her. Satrupa was used by the LM family to procure the heir. Her position was never firm in the family.
She lost her first twins and for the second set there was a prediction that the elder one needs to given away for both to survive. Vatsalya being the elder should ideally have been given away like Guruji pointed out. But she gave away Anami the girl knowing well she is not the elder and a girl child. She did that with an optimistic view that maybe kaal' might just be kind to both the children and both would survive well.
Her reasoning to give away Anami was she being the girl child may would not be accepted as an heir which her FIL did not ultimately. Satrupa by then knew the family well hence knew that if she is being brought in only to deliver the heir then they would not be kind to the girl child.
Like Ssanjinika said Satrupa and Guruji made sure she is given into good hands whom Guruji knew well
Satrupa after Vatsalya's death did not want to upset her child's life and wanted to go away (here she knows well she would not be even cared by the family and she really does not care for RS or LM money or else she would not packed up to leave) It was Guruji who said that she is not childless and needs to make sure Anami gets her right to be the heir.
On Guruji's insistence when she family went to get Anami time was short hence she had to use any and every method however wrong it may seem to get Anami to LM. Circumstances at times don't allow a person the luxury of time to do things the right way. Guruji's and Satrupa were looking at the bigger picture Not the property but the people associated with Royal Steel. When there is so much at stake especially your workers households one has to take tough decisions which Satrupa did cause she knew if RS was to go into someone else hands whom all know whom it would spell disaster.
Anami needs to understand this. It may not be her career choice but she has to consider it to be her choice as that is what life wants from her as a duty. In Mahabharat Pandavs also did not want the kingdom after the Lashyaghiha episode but had to go back as it was their duty to seek their right to the kingdom for the welfare of the people of their kingdom.
Anami is extremely arrogant and know it all person and soon will start realizing how wrong she is
It is difficult for a mother to take the spite of her child but Satrupa is doing so for a reason Satrupa not tell her about her decision to give her away (saw another post about it) has a reason too. Somewhere she know she is indeed her daughter and has her traits She is somewhere doing this to toughen Anami out to face the dirty games life will play and she knows in this Chakravyuh she has to be alone hence not giving her support emotionally as a mother as she knows Anami can get very emotional knowing satrupa's real story and reasons and mess it up for herself in a hurry to get her mother justice.
There are small points which I may be reading too much into but Satrupa did not want to give Vatsalya's rooms key to Anami cause she did not want Anami to get stuck in the past and nor maybe lay her hands on Vatsalya's notes and get prejudiced. And unfortunately both happened.
There are a lot of points and there is a lot to Satrupa's character which makes it a pleasure to watch cause rarely do we see such characterisation.
