why do ppl care so much for SLB heroines?
is it equivalent to winning a gold medal in race?
as if their life and career is incomplete.
I see same ppl bashing SLB & his films yet wishing
some actors of their choice to play the same roles.

( this is not to put Deepika down in anyway, she looks amazing as Padmavati. But I just wanted to see everyone else's opinion on the following actress playing Padmavati.

1) Katrina Kaif

COULD --- ...idk

COULD NOT --- not a typical rustic Indian beauty, bad actor, this role requires portrayal of devotion, loyalty, a sacrificial intensity, warmth, a strength of character.. she cannot portray all those.

2) Kareena Kapoor

COULD --- beauty, good actor

COULD NOT --- ..somehow in my imagination of her as Paddu, she looks bland, don't ask why 😛.

3) Alia Bhatt

COULD/COULDN'T --- note sure, haven't seen her work enough to comment.

4) Sonam Kapoor

COULD --- beautiful, lively on-screen persona.

COULDN'T --- ...perhaps she cannot enact the role with the conviction that DP can.

5) Disha Patani

Can't comment... beauty wise, yes she could!

6) Priyanka

COULD, AND ONLY CAN, apart from DP.. or maybe even better than DP. She's a great actress!!!!

7) Ashhh

COULD --- Another person other than DP, that COULD. Her eyes are quite powerful but it's the 'warmth' and devotedness that I'm unsure about.. Aish sometimes ends up looking too superficial when it requires her to be soft/gentle/warm...

8) Madhuri

COULD COULD COULD. I needn't explain... she is the most graceful actor ever.. but I'm talking about her younger self.

9) Anushka

Hmm... IDK.

10) Shradha

pls don't try to make their acting skills the only reasons - but you are more than welcome to say that it would hard for them to portray the warmth of padma for so and so reason! :)

If DP could be replaced, it would have to be Only Aishwarya. No One else.

Madhuri and Ash in their younger days. If Padmavathi was made some years ago.

Ultimate Padma = Only ASH. No-one but her. If not Ash, then only DP. No-one comes close to that beauty & elegance, required from this role, than DP.
