Review: October 5 dedicated to tough and touching conversations

Today was a stupendous day in terms of the one-on-ones between several characters.

Then came the Adhiraj-Ila scene. While Ila based her decision on looks and chose the close-minded approach this time, Adhiraj was more open-minded and accepted this second result at face value. But not only that, he chose to keep it to himself to protect Anami. In the future such moves will become more important and "popular" as both Anami and Adhiraj fight their battles both inside and outside Lal Mahal: Anami more inside, but Adhiraj both inside and outside. What was the biggest highlighting factor here is the news bulletin. Adhiraj learns of Dheeru's betrayal from an outside source. I felt this was deeper than just this though. It shows how little Adhiraj knows of Dheeru, how little he knows his own father and what his father's motives are. But more than that it shows how strategic Dheeru is. He read a file and made it both a learning matter for Adhiraj, but also a strategy for him to get into Lal Mahal and the Royal Steels.

But the highlight of today's episode for me was the conversation between Anami and Poonam. They are not your typical friends or mistress-maid pairing. They are not even your typical rich girl-bodyguard role. They are on a different level completely. They share a completely different bond. They are like sisters, but also secret keepers. And Poonam has grown tremendously from a scared spy for Satrupa to Anami's sister, secret keeper, friend, maid, bodyguard, shadow, protector, and everything in between. The way both discussed Mahabharat and what Pagli Pandityan has taught Anami was touching, but more than that it highlighted the role both would play in the future. As Poonam becomes Anami's true bodyguard, protector, and shadow, she takes on another role as well. That of her secret keeper and friend. She will be that person who will guide Anami when she needs it and remind Anami of her teachings. She will be that person who will tell Anami that she's wrong when Anami refuses to listen to anyone else and will remind Anami what her true characteristics her in dark times. And she won't even realize it. Because that's exactly what happened today. She learnt and spoke of Mahabharat and brought up what Pagli Pandityan had taught Anami, but never once did it seem like she was doing it on purpose or even realizing that she was showing Anami the right path. Both will grow together, learn together, and help each other.

In contrast was Sudha and Naina's scene. Sudha is a true psycho. A woman who doesn't care whether she uses another woman or uses her son, why would she care about an innocent animal and its children? But this is the true cruelty of Sudha. She will do anything to reach her goal and if that means stepping over helpless and innocent people, then she will do it. But once again it highlights what Narottam is to her. He's nothing. If she has to sacrifice him to reach her goal, she will. And she won't even feel regret for one second.

And finally to Dheeru-Adhiraj versus Dheeru-Tania. Tania doesn't care about the Royal Steels or Lal Mahal or the past or anything. She's just happy Dheeru is home and it shows in their relationship. Both are close and joke with each other, tease each other, and are friends. But the real test of this relationship will come when Tania learns of Avdhoot's reality. Will she share it with Dheeru? Somewhere I think yes. She will. And that will just firm Dheeru's resolve for justice. On the other hand, Adhiraj cannot see beyond himself and CBI. Anything Dheeru does is betrayal and a crime for him, which shows in the way Dheeru confronts Adhiraj and tells him to get a clear picture in his mind before coming back. Dheeru and Adhiraj are both fighting on opposite sides of the line right now, but in the process Dheeru is trying to teach Adhiraj the lessons of life along the way. These 2 are not close by any means, but there is a certain respect both have for each other that allows them to get over their confrontations and take steps forward.

In a way today's episode was dedicated to these tough and touching conversations meant to take each relationship forward, but also foreshadow the future of each relationship. Once again an episode well done.

Tanya is moving with rose tinted glass towards Avdhoot. But dheeru might use the relation for another deal. I feel Pujan plays a trick to keep Adhiraj in check, but this trick might back fire on him once Dheeru knows it and it can affect all the other equations also. Most importantly Adhiraj. Yes he is a CBI officer and all said and done he will have to stick to his duty of justice.

I have loved they have kept him a CBI officer where he has the option of choosing his duty for delivering justice. The hard choice, but that burden will fall on Adhiraj for sure as Dheeru says the battle will question his identity.
