I never cry at weddings, except at my own baby sister's, coz I changed her diapers, patted her to sleep, and there she was in a bridal dress getting married. *sob* But yesterday I was a sobbing mess, because I have followed these two, Shivaay and Annika and their journey so closely it was like my two close friends' wedding. What a journey.
As much as the honour and cherishing went to Annika from all quarters, this wedding appears to have the most significance to Shivaay. The whole wedding was in his perspective, and he looked like it was the best day of his life.
Walking towards the mandap, their eyes met and it struck them, finally they have reached this point. Their souls walked ahead , met at the mandap, fire ablaze and the light casting ambience to their union.
That scene gave me chills and goosebumps. Fire as their witness , they made their vows to each other, alone.
Fight as equals,
Rights upon each other as equals,
Call each other out as equals,
Her tears are his to love, his responsibility.
In happiness or in times of sadness.

He holds her face like she's the most precious thing in the world, and she places a hand on his chest. The way she cupped his face, showed what kind of a caring woman she is, and how much she loves him.
They are snapped out of their reverie, and they proceeded to their official ceremony, the one for them, for the family, for the society. Shivaay kept his eyes on her, memorizing the moment, to permanently erase the first wedding from their minds. Where there was once anger and hate, is now filled with Love and acceptance.
Shivaay and Annika are the future of this Oberoi House, Dadi has pinned all her hopes on these two, she looks positively ecstatic and radiant tying their ceremonial knot and blessing them. She feels if these two are together, the future of Oberois are in good hands. She's the one who hides the secret, who speeded up the wedding and is pressing Shivaay to forgive his mother.
Make amends before Pinky does another unforgivable thing. Unfortunately Shakti has already done honours of pushing Pinky off the cliff. I dare say between anger at being left out of the chunri rasm and then quiet hurt at haldi til wedding, Pinky looks a little disturbing although she grudgingly accepted olive branches offered. Dadi is doing damage control.
Omkara and Rudra come in to give Annika away as their sister. This action is so beautiful considering how they both loved her for their brother first, then loved her for what she is to their brother. And now they love as equally as their brother. Sister.

Standing up for pheres, he holds her hand tight and confidently leads her. A ball of bunched paper falls at his feet, distracting him with curiosity, but for only a moment. He didn't let go Annika's hand, and in fact she led his through next pheres and he forgot the nuisance already.
I remembered all the times he wore the mangalsutra for her, first hidden under veil, tears streaming down her face. Next , watched in a mirror reflection, twice during memory loss track. This time he holds her gaze steadily with love shining in his eyes, and fastened it. Putting sindhoor on slowly and even gently touching her head after.
It felt like he was memorizing every second of the moment. Pandit announces their wedding complete and his face breaks into a huge grin and he hugs her then and there, much to everyone's amusement.

His joy was so infectious. He was literally the happiest man in the world. The whole family saw it, cheered it , blessed it. Perfect.
At the family photo, Shivaay remembers Gauri. He doesn't realize the kind of trouble brewing in Om's mind about her. Shivaay and Annika are the only two who know Gauri is taking English lessons. This is very important.
Rudy is distracted. The girl he may have fallen for is going far away from him, and he's suddenly restless to see her. He leaves the family photo of happiness and goes and messes things up in anger.
Is Rudy's character about to take a change? Must wait and see. But what he did to stop Bhavya's wedding was uncalled for. So unlike Rudra, who just gave his big sister away with so much respect and caring. Must blame the alcohol and broken heart. Rudra's ishqbaaazi is beginning. I bet Bhavya called her wedding off at this point, despite Manav being unperturbed at Rudra's crass words.
Shivaay and Annika get blessings from the elders and Pinky grudgingly gives Annika family heirloom as a gift, but she didn't miss the opportunity to say "you've already taken my most prized treasure " that stabbing dark look Shivaay gave in reply... Goodness!
But Annika met the woman half way, and knelt at her feet, which Shivaay didn't oblige. God knows if this is a sign of issues to come.

Well, we knew bliss wouldn't last forever. Something HAS to happen. I keep in mind the deep connection Shivika now have between them. Before Annika went through her trial by fire and emerged Victor.. now, that Shivaay is dying to be with his beloved, his test begins.
Tears guaranteed, but the stronger the love the stronger the test. Who better than these two to succeed? Bring it.
Annika looks like she's cried too much. Shivaay has been missing and she's going to their first meeting place to see if she'll find him there again.
