Bang on.. Separation and Merger killed IB.
Ok chalo for whatever reason everything is going great for IB since then and DBO is also surviving. They hyped IB show as Shivika story and rightly they got their desired results always on top, gained many awards and brought the popularity single handedly. At this point TRP audiences connected IB=Shivika ( not obros and their journey) and they are ritually following their love story .Then all of a sudden she again came up with brilliant idea of merger. All of a sudden for every Shivika scenes we saw couples tagging them. Too much of interference of Gauri in Raagini track, showing Bhavya dominating everyone including Shivaay. After that painful separation we expected some angst and soulful scenes b/w Shivika but what we got in the name of comedy interference from everywhere. Till merger we never saw anyone playing catalyst b/w them. Just to show Gauri/ Bhavya as super bahus they compromised Shivika story to fit into other couples and new entries. To be honest I sometimes felt they could have used Kammini/Pranca in the reunion track since along with Pinky they are the others who are indirectly responsible. Focus is divided now with parallel leads concept doing musical chairs with similar copy paste concepts/personalities with group romances for 2 months. With all this how can anyone divide Shivika screen time? They were merely used to give platform for others to fit into the show. How can a loyal IB audience sit through these many changes honestly it is too much to taken on.
