Varun Badola is fantastic at comedy!!

Yes he is. This guy is a really great actor. I started with intense dislike of him ( mainly because of his too fair rotund looks) and ended up being absolutely impressed with him after I saw him in a variety of different roles playing all of them with same finesse.....be it Koshish, or Yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan or Des me.....Astitva was of course the icing....

Varun is a fabulous actor...I did not see Koshish when it was aired for the first time. But, when Astitva began, i was so imprssed by him. Then, i heard that he did remarkably well in Koshish Ek Asha as a mentally retarded person. At the same time when Astitva just finished 1 year or so, They aired the re - run of Koshish. I happened to see it then. Wow, he was superb in it!!! He suited the role so well, he gave an outstanding performance!!!👏

He is really a versatile actor, no doubts about this!!! He sings very well, have seen him singing in some programmes, in an interview with his wife, where both sung. In Nach Baliye, he is so very good as a dancer. Yesterday's episode of Nach Baliye was a treat to watch. He was dressed as a girl, for a comic song. He did outstanding job as a dancer. They were given 30/30 by the judges.👏

I believe he writes poems too in real life!!! The way in which he performs the middle aged Abhi in Astitva, at the same time, is the handsome, romantic Kushan in RINH is simply superb. We should never forget that it is Varun Badola alone, who looks like his character. No actor, be in any serial, does not look the age he is belived to be playing. It is Varun and Varun alone, who is not afraid of putting a grey over his hair, sporting a beard, loking fatigued at times, playing the role of Abhi, in Astitva. So Hats off to this guy for his versatility, amazing talent, in all fields!!!👏👏

I too think he is a versatile actor.. Astitva I think is one of the best! Of course I think it is the director who makes him look way too old for his age, 45!:-)

Varun is the only reason we watch Astitva - we find him to be a very matured actor! I think that he plays a good 45 year old, especially considering what he has been through in life. I know many 45 year olds who look like he does - especially when surrounded by so many hyper females - Simran, Sia, Aastha, Urmila, Kiran and whiny males - Saurabh, Sid! 😆 😆 😆

He definitely acts well. I agree he looks older, considering what he has had to go through in life:) But I also see many 45 year olds around me, who are trim, fit, look real nice (in fact nicer looking than some of the younger 20 or 30 something year old men I see around me 😉) and I also find that men really are reaching their peak, career wise, energy wise and in many other ways in their 40s.. Here they make him so tired looking all the time (maybe because of his life as a recluse for 18 years). In fact, if you look around at many of the actors (popular ones), they are quite often in their 40s with little grey hair.. Same with so many sports men especially in the US.. I also know marathon particpants in their 40s and who do better than people 10 years younger:-) Of course as you said with Abhi having gone through all that, not surprising he has so much grey hair! I guess I was looking at Abhi expecting him to be similar to those I have observed. LOL.
