My hands were literally itching to write about today's episode. It seems the more you write about it the less it is. Words literally fall short. I can't imagine where this story has the potential to go if it can excite me just with the proposal of the twist.
So without delay I will straight go into what I loved, which was well everything.
Right from the start, sona's panic stricken face as she comes home to shubh. Her worries, tension, concerns were brilliantly portrayed as that of every working mother.
But dev! How he understood sona needed him. Went straight up, gave soha her medicines and sent her off to sleep. One look at sona is now enough for the guy to understand that why and what exactly is bothering her. And the best part.. First time we actually see dev being the stable one you know. Like this time he is her guiding light unlike always where she had been. If you see that this is the first time sona has been showing her vulnerable side to dev. What I meant was that's what we all wanted to see right. For once sona accepting the help that she requires. Told you, her character would get that depth this season. And I can't wait to see how they will bring in the contrast of her struggling years auto soha.
Coming back to the story, so today I didn't agree with ishwari or sona.
First point is that her work is EQUALLY important to her as her children. And personally I love how passionate she is about her work. Normally even if the leads work they somehow don't seem to once the story progresses. But obviously sona is different. Love what she does and not ready to compromise. Really, an inspiration to many.
Anyways what I wanted to say, was that for ishwari maybe children are most important. But it may not be for all other right? (don't beat me for this!) she has to understand. nevertheless I believe if you have children then all their responsibility is yours. So basically what they and every couple needs is a solution some time to figure it out. And the answer is not or rather should not be the mother having to leave all her work. Anyway her kids will always be in her mind, but does she have to physically stuck to him always?
Is that even possible? And this what is the need to work logic also I never get. It just angers me. By that logic even sona earns more than enough so why can't dev do what is expected of sona? So I loved him when he pointed out her love for her work. Wantee to kiss him for it!
And asha...i believe much our emotions our behavior what we feel.. Is programmed by our culture our society, our roles. So this guilt this concern coming more to mothers (apparantly!) ?...is not biological. Basically we are trained this way always by seeing our mothers and others.. If you know what I mean?
And therefore I don't agree with what she said about her having worked a lot and now taking steps back to nurture her kids.
You see the post is not work or not work, just how everything is expected of the mother.
Funny no? How naturally all eyes are only looking toward sona? If baby cries it is because she is not there, if soha's stomach pains it's because she didn't pay ttention, the family can't handle the child.. Sona stays back at home!
Why? The baby just needs love and care right? Will it understand the difference between his mother's love and his father's love? Will it make difference? For those hours will he feel less loved?
No right?
But none of this comes to anyone's head right? Far East far away rather! In this matter, both mothers look to the new mother, obviously.
So Sona finally reached her decision that then she will give up her work.
But then, god!! I could kiss him the moment he said that he will stay back home. I mean he noticed all points I mentioned, he understood the pressure on sona, and how it was biased. And even if men know.. Not everyone is confident enough to do so take such a drastic step. But again when has dev cared about anything else when it comes to his wife and kids!
God I could gone in to the TV and hugged him. How dev has improved as a character no??
Loved loved his decision. So proud of him actually. Our society really needs such men. Really!
I can't wait to see how Sona takes it because undoubtedly she will be the first to refuse and I can't even imagine the others. Even Bose family in fact! Inky not bijoy..i think we have a pretty good idea!
I am so proud of the show yaar to having the guts to show something so subtle and taken for granted in our society. It's amazing! And not only that.. A season two and still holding on to story and tagline?
I mean have you seen it anywhere else?
