Islam wasn't saved anyone's sacrifice. Islam is a universal religion. it is here because Allah made it the only religion which is accepted by him.

There are many muslim ppl who were fighting to spread Islam in the time in which Husain (RA) was killed. There were many ppl who were sahabah, and tabi'in. Islam doesn't depend on one person. It will always live in the hearts of muslims, no matter what.
