"I m Sorry", he whispered into her ears as they danced to the soft music. There bodies swaying in sync to the musical waves. Sometimes they just felt so perfect together.
His eyes looked down at her face. She gulped not allowing the tears to prick her eyes. He gently pressed her palm to draw her attention and repeated the words.
She tilted her head slightly her lashes fluttered as she looked up at him. Her eyes revealed pain that could kill him a slow poisonous death.
"Was it so easy for you to..?" her voice almost choked, as her eyes now glistened. He did it every time. She knew his insecurities to well now, she fought them bravely as well. She fought his insecurities and he triumphed.
He gazed at her painfully, lowering his eyes. He had taken her and her love for granted quite too much.
"I was wrong." He confessed looking down sideways.
It pricked her heart.
"I m Sorry Gauri... I promise...!"
"Kuch Zakhmon Ke Karz Lafzon Se Ada Nahi Hote" she cut him off, leaving his hand she walked away fading into the shadows leaving him in the crowd alone.
He had gone a little too far this time. He had challenged her character. He had left her with deep wounds this time. Wounds that would stay!
Not every wound that one heart inflicted on another could be washed away with mere words.
The debit of few wounds cannot be done away with words.
