Infact, Michael Doulglas' dad had kissed him on the lips on his birthday bash. I think its not a big deal in their culture, its their way of showing love/affection towards their close ones. If it any father had done that in BW in public, there would've been a big outrage.

See, it's all about how your equation is with your spouse. Actors do many kissing and intimate scenes with different people so another kiss won't matter in reality but then there are peoople who put a clear demarcation between professional life and personal life. For some, off the sets, even a kiss on the cheek is too intimate while they won't hesitate to do anything for their work.

In the end, Kissing, Hugging or any kind of physical contact like that is a display of affection. And everybody has their own standards for it.
