Lolzzz....whoever said above that "you're just determined to hate her" is right🤣
I am a HUGE Hermione fan. 😎 👍🏼
But I love Ginny too! 👏 👏 Her character was so well crafted out....and how we saw the true Ginny in glimpses and flashes in the first four books but never realised her true potency...only saw her as a meek mild sweet blushing thing...until she finally burst in on the stage in OotP...
And yet, the character was not inconsistent....even though Harry only begins to see the true Ginny in book5, when we read back the first four books...we can suddenly see how Ginny was a lion Weasley all along...only we missed her 😆 I love that about her character!
As for the little matter of Hermione vs. Ginny in HBP...well HBP was Ginny's book because Harry notices her THAT way...and gives a lot of his grey matter upto her thoughts 😆 Don't forget the books are from Harry's POV...so since he has a crush on her...all her attributes will be heightened....more sparkly and all...
Now I wonder if the books were from Ron's POV...how would Hermione's attributes be..... 😆 😆 😆
As far as that fight was concerned.....if you read correctly....none were correct....none were wrong...
Both were right on some level....Hermione was right in the sense that Harry should not have used the Prince's curse on Malfoy...and such a malicious curse too....
Ginny, who is NOT Harry's girlfriend at this point, saw that Harry was really sorry and regretful and ashamed of what he had done and she saw that Hermione was only making him feel worse...
Hermione was lecturing Harry to make him realize the extent of his deeds...while Ginny saw that Harry had realized that extent long back....maybe as soon as he saw blood gushing out of Malfoy's body.
So, there was actually no point to Hermione's nagging....and Ginny was annoyed on Harry's behalf...
And the Quidditch comment was a on-the-spot heated snapping comment....it wasn't a well thought out or planned verbal attack on Hermione....it was not a taunt.
A such, this was just one of the millions of fights that happen between friends, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers....and if anything it actually made me smile because it shows that the Ginny-Hermione are now close enough to have these silly, little everyday fights....
If they had just refrained from fighting and snapping at each other....it would mean they were tip-toeing around each other....and being too polite and formal....which would have meant they just were mere acquaintances.
JKR showed, in a very subtle way, the extent of their closeness...which is a matter that I had been pondering for a very long time before HBP.
