My understanding is that Shekar and Shristi were childhood friends how is it then than Shristi is not aware of Shekar's murderous past or that he was in a young offenders institute? Also how did he become a lawyer? Is a criminal allowed to become a lawyer in the first place and even if so isn't he required to reveal his criminal past whilst in the process of qualifying meaning his mentor, Purshotam, surely ought to know about it?
