Is narottam really a 3rd gender or something like that or is he a normal man n acting like one... really confused now

I think he is acting like that may be too save his life. Since he is acting like that no one is giving him any importance in inheritance of Lalmahal and Royal steel.

So it's a intelligent move by Sudha and her son. That's the reason she has made him to dance mujras.

Narotham was illegal son and he was made to wear skirts from childhood which I observed in few old age pics of some haan. So I don't really think he is 3rd. As he was growing he was abused and was beaten without mistake so he was right now acting so that he can be look innocent and take revenge from Lal nivasi's. And as for Adiraj he has doubts on every member and is giving his 100% but you know shit happens. He is one of the main player and is cunning as fox in this game.

Just to clarify, Narottam was never a 3rd gender. He's effeminate, which basically means his body language is like that of a girl's. Other than that he's a male in every other way.

My guess is that he was forced into effeminate ways since childhood and he isn't acting. There is no reason for him to act like that given that no one likes him and ignores him.

Ok..so he is effeminate..now that is clarified..but still I am confused whether he is truly an effeminate or is he acting like one Infront of Lal mahalwasis... because whenhe he is alone his body language is perfectly manly.

@ TriShakti: Actually I was going to comment the opposite. If you watch the scene after he tells Satrupa about Narottam, his body language, the way he walks, and the way he flicks his odhni over his shoulder all looked so feminine. The actor is doing a great job like that!

@ Saaki: He's not a kinnar. That's different and being effeminate is different. There are 3 "genders" or "styles". Gay, which means a man likes other men. Kinnar, which means the baby is born either without genital parts or is born with the opposite genital parts or wants to be of the opposite gender. These people are also known as transgenders in English. Then there is effeminate. Which means a man whose body language and characteristics are like a woman, but they are actually a man. So this person walks like a woman, hand gestures like a woman, etc. Narottam has been raised or is acting like the third.
