Kaira is a couple with modern approach who decided to plan a baby for themselves as they were ready for it not for their family or for KD's happiness it was rare and truly modern and mature approach ever shown on Indian television...otherwise MLs mostly plan babies for their families or for giving sister/brother to their kids...They are modern where needed and traditional where needed...They stayed with Goenka family despite of so many instances as the traditional values are deep rooted in their individual characters...
