Gurudev Vashist and the Rajkumars reach Gurukul. Gurudev shows them around and introduces them to Arundhati. Ram greets her and calls her Gurumata. Gurumata asks Ram how he knew that she is Gurumata? He answers that he saw it in her eyes. When she saw them her eyes twinkled, just like the eyes of a mother when she sees her child.
Meanwhile in Ayodhya, Kausalya order the maid to get everything in order for the Rajkumars. They will be hungry and she orders her to prepare the favorite meals of the Rajkumars. Dasarath and the other queens walk in to her room and Dasarath ask her what she is doing; did she forget that the Rajkumars have left for Gurukul, and that they will not return before the finished their studies? Kausalya gets sad and wonders how the Rajkumars will stay in Gurukul without them.
In Gurukul it is time to sleep, but Shatrughna sits outside the room. Ram asks him what happened. Shatughna answers that he is thinking of his mom. He wants to go back, but Ram says they can't because the have to study in Gurukul. Shatrughna answers that he doesn't want to study, he wants his mom. Gurumata sees them and she wants to comfort him, but Gurudev stops her and says that the Rajkumars should handle this by themselves, because hey have to grow up. Shatrughna runs to the gates of Gurukul but stops. Ram reach him and says to him that they can't go anywhere without permission of Gurudev. And if they will leave Gurukul now, it will be a shame for their parents and maybe they will not accept them because their father ordered them to come back when they finished their studies. Ram says that the sunrise will be a new sunrise for them. Shatrughna calms down and Gurumata praises Ram for being so sensitive and understanding.
The next day they start their studies. The whole class prays to Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. Gurudev says that they start their study with the blessings of Saraswati. He explains that Sanskar is the most essential thing in men. Ram asks what the meaning of Sanskar is. Gurudev explains that in every murti there is stone. But not all stone is a murti. We do not worship every stone. We make only murti's of stones who have Sanskar. Gurudev tells them that Sanskar is honoring your parents and Gurudev. Obey them and to respect them. Studie is also a Sanskar. A student has seven dutys.
1. Serving his elders
2. Listen to his elders
3. Learn of the things he hears
4. Remember the things he has learned
5. Think about the things he has learned
6. Handle in the ways he has learned
7. Reach the right state of mind

Mithila
King Janaka says to his Gurudev that Sita is very lucky for them. She made their life full in the form of Urmila, and his brother's children Mandavi and Shrutakirti. Gurudev asks where Sita is. The queen answers that she must be in the room of the Shivdhanush. The scene shift to Sita while she is looking at the Shivdhanush and time passes by. The king organizes a Shivdhanush pooja. One of the kings wants the Dhanush because he thinks that because of the Dhanush, luck is in the hands of Janaka and his kingdom Mithila. Gurudev dares him and asks if he can take the Dhanush with him. All the ministers pull their sword, but Janaka tells them to put it away. The other king tries to lift the Dhanush but he fails and everyone is laughing. Janak says that no men can lift the Dhanush. The king feels ashamed en dishonored.
The queen asks why Jankana is worried. He said that he had never an enemy, an now without reason Kind Sudhanwa became his enemy. They hear the rajkumaris laugh and the queen syas that those girls will always make the kingdom happy.
The rajkumaris are playing and suddenly the ball rols under the table with the Dhanush. The girls say that Sita must search under the table, because she rolled the ball. Sita tells them to lift the table and she will get the ball. The girls try but they cant lift the table. Sita tells them to wait. She prays before the dhanush and lift it. Meanwhile the king, queen and his brother walks in. They see that Sita lholds the dhanush and they are in shock! Sita gets the ball and asks why are they so shocked? They where only playing. The episode ends there
