Chapter 8

Next day, RK walked out from washroom and saw his clothes were laying on the bed, he smiled and changed into them and then looked at the tie for sometime. He was trying to remember how Sikky used to to tie them but as he had done them in a speed, RK never realized how he did. Taking a deep breath, he placed it around his neck murmuring, "You can do it RK.." He tried many times but failed when suddenly he heard her giggling, he looked up at the mirror and saw Madhu standing at the door with his tea and was giggling. "Stop laughing biwi..!"

"I can't believe you don't know how to tie it." She said chuckling.

"Yeah.. As I never needed to do all this." He said rolling his eyes when saw Madhu's face dropped. He turned at her saying, "Madhu, I didn't mean to say that. Yes, it's true that I never needed to do all this as I thought dad and bro was there to handle office and all. You know how irresponsible I was.. But today I want to do all this.. for you.. for our baby." He said cupping her face.

"I know Rishab, you don't need to explain me." She smiled. "Now stand steady, let me tie it." She said while made him stand properly.

"Do you know how to tie it?"

"Yeah.. Like you Krishna also know this and whenever he went for any big meetings, I used to tie it." Madhu said while tying it around his neck but hearing Krishna's name, RK didn't feel good, he didn't reply anything to her and looked away.

"Done.." Madhu said.

"Thank you." He smiled and walked out from room.

"Rishab, you wait.. I am serving you the breakfast." Madhu said following him outside.

"No Madhu, I am getting late.. Will have something at office." As RK said, Madhu turned at him confused, she looked at the clock saying, "No. You have enough time." Madhu said walked to him. "Come and have your breakfast."

"But Madhu.." RK was go going to deny when Madhu dragged him near the table holding him by his arm. "Sit.." RK sighed and sat there when Madhu forward the bread saying, "Have..!"

RK looked up at her when Madhu said, "Aren't you getting late now? Have it.." RK smiled slightly and bite on it.

"Rishab, do you remember what I told you last night?"

"What?" RK asked enjoying the breakfast.

"To visit maa.."

"Yes baba.. I do remember. I will visit them when I will return." He said.

"Okay."

"Now if you done. May I go?" RK asked, Madhu nodded saying, "Come soon."

He smiled, "You take care of yourself. Don't trouble yourself much." He said caressing her cheek, Madhu nodded and RK left for work.

He walked out from the apartment and saw the watchman was arguing with someone, he proceeded to them and saw Mr and Mrs Malik. He walked to them.

"Rishab bete.." They overwhelmed seeing him.

"Sir, are they your guests?" The watchman asked when RK nodded. "Sorry sir."

"You go." RK said to the watchman and turned at them saying, "Please come. But how do you know we are here?" RK asked confuse.

"We went to your house when your ma told us this address." Mrs Malik said.

"Where's Madhu?" Padmini asked.

"Come with me." Saying this, RK took them at his apartment. Seeing them, Madhu gets happy, she welcome them, after that RK left for his office.

At evening, RK walked out from his office and recalled Madhu's promise about visiting Kundra house, he hired a cab and left for his house.

RK walked in the house while recalling the day when he left with Madhu. Suddenly Trisha saw him coming, she ran to him and hugged him. "Bhai.. How are you bhai..? Mom, dad.. See bhai has arrived." She called them out.

"Bhai.. Madhu.. How's she?"

"Trish.. Do you really care for her? If you would, then you would have visit her once."

"Bhai, I wanted to.. But maa took promise from me so I.." She said looking down when RK said, "She is fine."

"Rishu.." Radha came out from her room and ran to him crying. She caressed his face lovingly saying, "I know you will come.. You can't stay away from your mom for long. Rishu.. I missed you so much." She hugged him crying, RK hugged her and rubbed her back to console her.

"See Trishna.. I told you my Rishu will come back to me, he can't stay with any village girl. Come Rishu.." She dragged him inside saying, "Mohan jee.. See Rishu..!"

"Finally you decided to come back, I know you can't lead a normal life, after all you brought up in luxury. Anyways, when you are back, I think I should call the lawyer to consult about your mutual divorce." Saying this Mohan was going to make the call when RK said, "Wait dad..!"

Radha looked at him when RK removed her hand from his arm saying, "I didn't come back forever."

"What do you mean Rishu?" Radha asked caressing his face.

"Maa.. I didn't wish to come here, it was Madhu who forced me to visit you. And what you are talking.. Village girl and all.. From when it matters to you ma. When Madhu came here for the first, it was you who pampered her like your own daughter. Then how come everything changed suddenly?" RK asked when Radha looked on. "Can you both please explain what was Madhu's fault in this? You supposed to accuse that guy who ditched her, but when it turned out your son, your mind changed.. Wow..! What type of justice it is, mom, dad..?" RK asked raising his eye brow at them.

"But Rishu, she is carrying someone's child." Mohan said.

"So?? Many people are there who adopt babies and give their name, so what's the big deal if I give my name to her baby?"

"It's a big deal Rishu.." Radha yelled. "Tomorrow Madhu will have a baby with you, can you give this child that love which you suppose to give to your own blood? Can you do a proper upbringing of this child?" Radha asked.

RK looked at his mother for sometime and then said, "If you are telling me all this, then I should tell you, you don't know your son. First of all I am not that type of guy who has cheap mind, for me.. Dil ke rishte khoon ke rishto se bhi bada hai. This is blood relation.." He said pointing at his family, "When their son needs them much, they just thrown him out of house with his pregnant lady. If blood relation is like this then I wish Madhu will not have any baby with me." As RK said Radha slapped him.

"This is the first time Rishab.. I slapped you. Is it a way to talk with your parents? You are misbehaving with your parents for Madhu." Radha cried.

"Maa, you are wrong and that's why your son is away from you." RK said with tears in his eyes.

"Mohan jee.. See, our son..." Radha cried hugging Mohan. "Is it your final decision?" Mohan asked glaring at him.

"Yes dad.. When you can accept Madhu, you will get your son back." RK said wiping his tears when Radha turned away, RK understood that they won't accept her, he turned to leave when Mohan said, "Rishu, for which girl, today you are going away from your parents, you will see, one day she will leave you."

RK turned at him smiling, "No dad.. She won't leave me, instead of she will definitely win your heart. You wait and watch.." Saying this RK left from there.

RK reached house and saw Madhu was happily enjoying her time with Maliks. But seeing him entering, she went to him asking, "How was your day?"

"Good." RK replied with fade smile and walked inside. Seeing his face, Madhu could sense he wasn't well, she followed him inside.

"Is everything fine Rishab?"

"Why are you asking?"

"No.. You aren't looking well so I thought.." But before she could say further RK said in high voice, "Madhu.. I am a normal person, like you my mood also swings, I can't laugh or smile every time right?"

"Rishab I.."

"Madhu, for God sake, leave me alone." Seeing him so irked, she decided to leave him alone, she nodded saying, "I am arranging dinner for everyone." She walked out when he slammed the door on her face.

"What's wrong with him today!!" She wondered.

"What happened Madhu?" Padmini asked walking to her.

"I don't know ma.. He is behaving weird today. He looks upset." Madhu said worried.

"He must went at his house. Madhu, how much he tried to show himself strong.. After all he is a person who has heart, like other people he also loves his family and it's not possible to stay away from them. Give him some time, he will get normal." Madhu smiled while looked on. "Why don't you make his favorite dishes? He will feel good." Padmini suggested.

"That's nice idea.. But I don't know what's his favorite dish.." She said sadly while trying to remember if there has any clue about that. "Maa, I don't know what dish he likes but I know what he likes in dessert."

"Go then make it."

"But.. That's Gajar Halwa.." Madhu said as her face dropped. "That's Krishna's favorite, I used to make it for him and today.."

"And you will make it for Rishab." Padmini said caressing her face. "Madhu, though Krishna is my son, you are my daughter-in-law but you know I always consider you as my daughter, that's why I am telling you this.. Madhu, Krishna was your past but Rishab is your present and future. He is the one who is giving his name to your baby. Madhu never disrespect him at any situation."

"Yes ma." Madhu smiled.

At night, they were having dinner when Padmini eyed Madhu to serve the dessert. "Rishab, try this." Madhu said serving him the halwa.

"Gajar ka halwa..?" RK's face beamed with happiness. He was about to dig the spoon in the bowl when Malik said, "Krishna's favorite.. Right Madhu?" Hearing this RK stopped on his way, while Madhu looked on with fade smile on her face.

"Malik jee.." Padmini stopped him looking at RK.

"Sorry Rishab.. Actually it was my son's favorite dessert so, seeing this it just slipped from my mouth." Malik said.

"It's okay uncle." RK said with a small smile and placed the bowl on the table which Madhu noticed. "Rishab, have it.."

"I am done Madhu." Saying this RK left the dinning table.

"What is it Malik jee? Why did you throw Krishna's topic here?" Padmini said sadly and left from there.

At late night, after wrapping up all her works, Madhu walked in the room but didn't find RK, she looked around the room but didn't find him anywhere, so she walked out from the room in his search when he saw the main door was opened, Madhu went to the balcony and looked down where she saw RK was sitting in the garden.

RK was sitting on the bench while thinking about his argument with his family when Radha said Madhu leave him one day when he remembered Madhu remembering Krishna, even the dinning table incident occurred in his mind. "What has happened with me? I know Madhu loves Krishna then why is it affecting me? Why didn't I feel good when ma told me one day she will leave me, why did I react?" RK was questioning himself but didn't get any answer when suddenly he heard Madhu calling him, "Rishab?"

RK turned at her asking, "Madhu you here?" But she kept looking at him. "Actually I wasn't feeling good so I came." He said and looked away.

"Rishab, what happened with you?" She asked directly walking to him.

"Me? Nothing."

"Don't lie to me. You went to visit ma?" She asked when RK looked at her.

"Madhu.." He turned at her and took her hand in him saying, "You won't leave me ever right?"

"Rishab what are you talking?" She asked confuse.

"You know Madhu when I went to Kundra house, Ma thought I left you but when I cleared her misunderstanding, she said you will leave me one day but I know you won't.. I told her that one day you will win their heart. I won't regret on my decision right?"

"Rishab, if you know that then why are you asking? I know we aren't like normal couple but we trust each other, we understand each other. I know Rishab, you are going through a tough phase, but I promise you I will be with you in every step of your life." She said placing her palm on his cheek.

"Thank you Madhu."

Madhu smiled and rested her head on his chest saying, "You will have a great life." RK hummed and wrapped his arms around her.

"If you feel better now, shall we go in?" Madhu asked parting from him and they walked in. But this scenario was witnessed by Padmini who was standing at their balcony and smiled seeing them together.
