What is this issue exactly? I'm still unable to get it. Is the fight against royalty with the music companies or the music directors? And how exactly did sonu sacrifice his career??!! Were all the older singers and lyricist and directors involved in this fight? If so why did only Sonu lose out on his career?

Music companies used to make illegal contracts which stated that singers have no right to any financial benefit all the royalty would go to music companies alone.. All old singers took a stand but out of many sonu was only active old singer at that point many of sonu songs were dubbed by mohit chuhan,arijit , javid ali that ghalat baat hai etc... Alka yagnik was angry on when mohit chuhan replaced sonu in a song n she said we have been fighting for this cause since long n these new commers are not much helpful they have no idea that this thing will benefit them too in the long run

Because there was an interview where Sonu said that people were categorically told not to work with him. And if this is the case then shouldn't all the older singers like shreya Ghoshal or Sunidhi face the same?? But somehow they seem to be unscathed. It's crazy. Shouldn't the music directors like pritam or ARR or SEL put their foot down and say that we won't work with anyone else? Since they are all in this together? I feel so bad for Sonu though.. 😭
