Kangana Ranaut - Feminist/Homebreaker ?

Please, dont associate Feminsim with whatever she said or did, please.

No comment on Kangana but feminist and homewrecker are not exclusive terms. The women who fought for political rights and equality for women in public spheres, were not necessarily saints in their private lives, may have had affairs too. That doesn't invalidate any of their contributions, of course.

Since when does one need to be a saint to be a feminist?

Well first of all, feminism has nothing to do with this case. A feminist doesnt need to be morally upright. However, Kangu is cashing on the word like any opportunist does in today's world.


More apt word on which this debate can continue is Empowered Woman or Homebreaker. Kangana has been trying really hard to be the flagbearer of empowered woman who doesnt dare revolt back if wronged. However, what she forgets in the first place is how she herself tried to wrong others by first constantly having affairs with married men, and then trying to stay in the news by bringing those references in various occasions quite unnecessarily. So when a wrong woman herself tries to be the face of empowered woman in THIS manner, it looks more like she has to do this to save her own ass and in reality has nothing to do with 'empowering' others. Oh yes, if there is anything one wants to be empowered by her talks, that gotta be the things like - Dont be an opportunist like Kangu but follow the likes of Vidya Balaan to establish herself, please report to the authority if being harrassed instead of reporting to the wife of the beater instead of misleading people on national television about your age of being minor and cashing on that.



Amidsr all these 'cheering' Kangana part, one thing is repeatedly forgotten that she is basically admitting of having affairs with married men which itself is nothing to cheer about. Everybody has affair outside marriage in BW, male or female, nothing to do with feminism. But flaunting those on national tele is leaves us in a bad taste. Everyone is aware of how USA sponsored terrorism throughout from 80's or 90's but yet preaches anti-terrorism in today's world. Still there would be a difference between ISIS and USA because when one takes 'pride' in doing that, another one at least KNOWS it's wrong. That doesnt make anyone any less responsible for the damage, but hell yeah, dreading the day when all incorrect things will be flaunted like this instead of being looked down upon.

Feminism is about owning your power and taking responsibility for your actions. A feminist need not be perfect but she shouldn't blame other people for her own choices. Kangana is certainly outspoken. Fearless or reckless depending on your viewpoint, yes. Feminist no.
