The first look suggests it is somwhow realted to the floods of '13. A love angle to that story. *yawn*

Why did Sara choose this project and not a SOTY-style launch like Alia? She chose a movie with Sushant who has just had a box office dud which seems to go against how star kids think.

Floods and love story- Depends on how it is done. Is Abhishek Kapoor the director of 2 States?

SOTY would have been opposite Tiger who also gave a dud recently.

Abhishek K was the director of Rock on , Kai Po Che, Fitoor.

Right, but SOTY would have had KJo and his hype train at the helm. This seems like a smaller launch vehicle.

This first look it's putting me off instead of making me look forward to the movie.

Another disaster (flop - if they're lucky) for BW. 🤔

Because may be Amrita Singh and Sara believe that it's a better script. Gloss and glamour doesn't always ensure BO success. Anyways , I hope she can act.

SOTY didn't do anything for Alia. She admits that herself. If she didn't have KJo's backing, she would have never gotten another film after SOTY. She admitted all her offers afterwards were KJo's meherbani b/c no one else offered her anything.

Maybe Sara wants to try the "acting" route rather than the glamour route. I doubt a movie like SOTY would even work today anyways.
