Yes. We need more movies that focus on LGBT community because such a community exists in real life and just by turning a blind eye to it we cannot believe that to be untrue. However, before Bollywood starts making a movie on it, please answer how many of you will actually go and see that movie? I know that it is something not palatable for me. I know I can't go with my family to see it. I know I would not want to see it with my daughter, however if she wants to see it, I would have no problems with it. It has nothing to do just with Bollywood. Our society DOES NOT want to see movies based onLGBT. Even now our concept of movies remains a hero and a heroine falling in love and living happily ever after.

Besides why only talk of LGBT? Our movies still don't show us heterosexuality in its truest form. We still want to believe that our heroines are the Coy kind who will only have an affair but to will not indulge in sex before marriage. How many movies have you seen where the heroine has been shown to have multiple sexual partners prior to meeting the hero?

I think it's a long way before our society is progressive enough that we can watch LGBT

This is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing

Have you watched this show called - Orphan Black? The relationship btw Cosima-Delphine is the most loved romance in that show. And it has one of the most amazing representations of LGBTQ relationships ever where who they sleep with is the last thing that characterizes who these wonderful women are cz it's treated so normally.. I'd love to see Asians as a whole and our cinema coming to such a level to accept it for the beautiful and normal thing it is. Cz it's simply just normal as a boy-girl! And I just don't understand why people would think otherwise and react so badly as if it's a crime! Live and let live! Our society is making these people deeply unhappy by forcing them on to these conventional relationships with a person of the opposite sex that goes against that persons nature itself!

@shal1983 - I'm a girl and if it's two girls I'd love to LOVE TO watch it and will watch it if it's made well with two good actresses that I anyway enjoy seeing onscreen
I don't have kids.. but I won't mind taking my cousin sister to that with me. And when I have kids I'd have no qualms watching that with them cz for me it's as normal as one of each gender being in a relationship :)

Major chunk of the society is homophobic which hides behind religion, culture, moral values to hide from the reality.

Bollywood isn't a social institution to take up these issues. It's up to indie filmmakers. Look at KJo. The man should be the flagbearer of such critical issues, but he doesn't really care. People are hypocrites that way.

I believe homosexuality or any such right is imperative. It's no business of the state - who marries/dates who. That's being petty. Everyone should have a right to marry any gender they wish - whether male or female. Who cares really?

That said, it's not really Bollywood's responsibility. It's down to individual filmmakers. People usually don't accept homosexual love stories as "normal." Not just in India, mind you. USA is even more conservative. I know it's a trend to shit on India, but when it comes to homosexuality, our culture is far ahead of Western culture, especially USA.

The day such movies start making money, Bollywood will start producing such movies. They're all about businesses.

That's the thing though, most people don't mind watching two girls being intimate or affectionate with each other in films or even in real life. But somehow when it's two guys, it's no-no...people automatically picture Anal sex and not love. It's like guys can't think of anything else...

welcome 😊
no Princess i did not see this..thanks for sharing..
i have heard of a Bangladeshi story..
there were two girls..one was abused..the other rescued her..
then they fell in love..
then they eloped to the forest..
there they hid for many days..they built a tree house..
but the abused girl's family traced them n killed them..
it was a story i have read in newspaper...that was the first time i realized what beautiful
love is.i did nt feel the gender ..i only felt the love..i just felt when u can kill
ppl out of hatred then how dare u condemn two ppl in love be it they are
of same gender? if u do not know to love then who the hell are u to ostrich two ppl
who knows to love each other?i also felt u the society do not have the guts to stop
rape how dare u stop two consenting adults in love to live together by their choice?
so gender blurred for me ever since then..i realized perhaps this story could be really happening somewhere..perhaps some are really dying..some are really being slayed by their fam..
n what is their crime?loving each other?since when did any religion preach that love is a crime?
i thought only hating is a sin...
