In a sensational last minute twist, Ajit and his director Raju Sundaram has
managed to convince Katrina Kaif to do their Ayngaran produced film in
Tamil!
The film was to be originally done by Shriya, but after she did the cameo
dance number with Vadivel in INA, a furious Ajit refused to do the film
with her. Later there was a desperate attempt for patch up and it looked
like Shriya would make a comeback into the project, as the talkie portion
was to start in the first week of February in Ooty.

But Raju Sundaram and Ajit were still talking to Katrina who came down
to Chennai last week to meet her boy friend Salman Khan who was
shooting for the Hindi version of Pokkiri at Binny Mills. This time they
were able to convince Katrina who is one of the hottest heroines in
Bollywood especially after her Welcome turned out to be 2007's biggest
hit.

Katrina has so far done two films in south - Malleswari with Venkatesh in
Telugu and Mammootty's Balram versus Taradas in Malayalam, both super
hits. She is said to be "lucky" and now paired with the hottest hero in
Kollywood, the project has suddenly become big. The market buzz is that
Katrina is being paid a bomb, rumoured to be 1 Crore to do this Ajit film.

Eearlier it was reported Shriya will and later on Bipasha will act and now
Katrina.....

Seems like this also turn into like Rajini movie 😆

She's one of the worst in bollywood. She's gorgeous, true 😳 , but she ssimply hasn't stood out in any of the movies she has done. I'll give her a 0 for acting skills. Even in songs, she doesn't have the charm that actresses require , I think Shriya wud hv been a better choice. (Wow, I'm actually saying taht?)

Thx Meli for the article. Katrina I cannot say what type of actress she is. I think shes a hardworker as I heard according in Koffee with Karan.

kat is an okay actress. she can actually emote well if she's in the hands of a good director. she's a director's actress like aishwarya rai & kareena kapoor.😊

anyways, i'm happy for kat that she's finally entering kollywood. it'll do her a lot of good if she debuts opposite a powerful actor like ajith.

as to how the film will fare.. i'll reserve my judgement till after i watch it.

I just found time to read this. And. Ditty ................ 🤣 😆. Your comments were superb. 😆 But it is mean of the director and Ajith that they were willing to let go Sherya just because she acted with Vadivel. If she was dumped because of lacking in acting skills, I would have been happy. Ajith, you may be the hero, but Vadivel commands more fans than you do.
