Seems like all the backlash and flak that Sony TV's Pehredaar Piya Ki has been receiving since the day it was launched has resulted in the makers and channel taking the extreme step.

In an absolutely unanticipated turn of events, the channel pulled the plug on the show and without any notice or information, it did not even air an episode yesterday.

According to reliable sources, the Rajput community was also unhappy about the portrayal in the show and had an objection towards the same.

The show was all set to take a leap but all of that has now been cancelled and the show has gone off-air.
