Episode 41 - Advay's phased revenge plan

For what its worth I thought todays episode was a masterstroke on many levels, shocking twist, superb acting and CVs have now really opened the door to the love story.

Disclaimer : I have only ever watched one of Guls shows so please forgive me if I am being very naive.

Here's my reasoning

Advay is a planner, I don't think he has ever planned to kill anyone, get killed or end up in Jail. Which is just as well because none of those scenarios really work too well for our dreams of a happy ever after for Adni.

Advay has planned his revenge in phases, directly because of his actions he has managed to execute the following:

To ensure that Vashishts didn't get the temple fortune

To defame Chandni publicly and ruin her life, the baby provided a fast option that he used, why wouldn't he has waited for 16 years

To make chandni marry him when she was engaged to PP against her mothers wishes

To make Chandni feel the betrayal and anguish of why did he do what he did by not telling her he is Dev, she has been left with some serious angst of her own about him and his actions like he has spent the 16 years wondering why she betrayed him

To dishonour and break the Vashisht family, they are broken, homeless and divided, both the masis and sisters are going to deal with some serious fallout from all the revelations

To weaken Indrani by removing her support system and social standing, I would assume the family will lose the mahant role

He himself has not suffered any collateral damage (himself, nani, murli and Shilpa are all still safe)

For those worried that the revenge is over, there is more to come which I am sure will come in the next phase and he will attack when the time is right, Advay has always done things at times that suit him. What left for him:

Makes those directly accountable (inc. Indrani) for his parents death accountable, I still don't see him killing anyone but I think it will get nastier

Clear his parents name, to do that he probably needs to reveal his true identity which I don't he is ready to do yet. Possibly so that he can find Miku without alerting Indrani to the fact he and Miku are still alive. She thinks they are both dead and probably safer for them that she does.

So basically I think there is still revenge and Advay-Indrani tashan to come! If his revenge was complete and he really planned to leave forever he would have revealed his real identity to indrani.

What else I loved about this twist or whatever you want to call it:

1) We have been saved from watching Advay abusing Chandni for a month or whatever, I certainly didn't want to see that. Seriously Advay had the means to exact his revenge (the baby and marriage) so why would he wait and he didn't, 16 years is long enough

2) Advay showed that after he followed through with his plan to ruin Chandni's life he wants to leave and go back to London, as much as he doesn't want to admit it he doesn't want to see Chandni's complete breakdown, which if he stays around he will have to witness. He feels justified for what he did but I don't think he is enjoying his moment and that isn't sitting well with him, because he really isn't a monster, there is still dev in him

3) Advay wants to get his Nani away from Indrani and all his revenge plans, she was never suppose to follow to Allahabad. Nani probably now feels he is done with his revenge so will probably let him be in London whilst he plans his next phase

4) Exacting his revenge on Chandni has given him a small level of closure, so rather than being burning with revenge he is now smouldering in it. Which I think is what opens the door to him believably having other feelings creep in. Realistically how focussed he was on his need for revenge on Chandni was never going to allow him to have any other feelings towards her, his focus will now be Indrani. 16 years of hatred was not going to start to melt with a look or smile from her. He has done what he wanted to do Chandni. I really think he couldn't fall in love with her without having his revenge completed.

5) Chandni's reaction to his outing her in public hopefully will be the turning point in her life, whether immediately or after some more drama from her family, but this will enable the stronger Chandni to emerge and fight Advay in her own way. She now has reason to hate him and very little reason to fear him, he has done the worst he can to her. Separated her from her family and ruined her reputation. I really don't think it would be believable to show Chandni falling in love with Advay whilst he is actively abusing her and blackmailing her about her own reputation and her family's honour.

So all in all I am very impressed with Advay's revenge strategy and I actually think this twist by CVs is actually a very good thing.

I don't think he will leave for London, sure Nani will pull her own masterstroke tomorrow to keep him in the Haveli with Chandni and the baby so that the love story can finally begin!

I totally agree with you. I lover the dhamkedar episode today. I loved the dialogues,execution, lights and flow of scenes. Absolutely brilliant👏

Well said. I think this proves he is antihero not a killer psychopath like indrani

Beautiful point. I never thought about this. chandhini would be even more hurt if she got to know it was Dev who did it but obviously he doesn't know it.

I think he is done with his revenge and I hope so.I want him to me on.It will be impossible for him to find mikku after so long. May be in future they will come across each other and he may find some clues but I think he is done with revenge. Now it's indrani''s turn she won't let him go like this or if she got a chance in future she will hurt him.

I happy Advay is positive enough to not keep the baby thing hanging on her head and keep torturing her. Also I think in his pov Chandhini left her baby and that was wrong thing. So he united the baby with mom and punished chandhin for it. But he chose the wrong way to do it.

Is it mentioned that he is going back to London. He just said we are going back home and it could be anywhere. I mean people have multiple houses in different countries.I don't think he is leaving India.
