Today Pooja and SRJ were really spot on in the tandav and lasya..
Was watching SRJ hands, his mudras were really good.
Wish they had given it more time.

In the Hindu texts, at least seven types of Tandava are found:
Ananda Tandava, Tripura Tandava, Sandhya Tandava, Samhara Tandava, Kali (Kalika) Tandava, Uma Tandava and Gauri Tandava.
The dance performed by Parvati in response to Shiva's Tandava is known as Lasya, in which the movements are gentle, graceful and sometimes erotic. Some scholars consider Lasya to be the feminine version of Tandava. Lasya has 2 kinds, Jarita Lasya and Yauvaka Lasya.
The dance is a pictorial allegory of the five principal manifestations of eternal energy.

Srishti - creation, evolution
Sthiti - preservation, support
Samhara - destruction, evolution
Tirobhava - illusion
Anugraha - release, emancipation, grace
Thus Tandava symbolizes the cosmic cycles of creation and destruction, as well as the daily rhythm of birth and death.

It is a treat to watch Puja's dance. She is so graceful.
The word Lasya is actually laasya aa ki matra for la in Sanskrit.

Reference. In Lalita Sahasra Nama it is Laasya Priya layakari ... One who loves laasya dance and one who causes destruction...

It is laasya but it is pronounced with short la .

Pooja and SRJ are very good actors, everyone needs some time to settle into their roles.
It totally depends on the director to bring out the excellence in them.
And one set back for SRJ was, his portrayal as Vishnu and Krishna is so hard to forget .
For me SRJ as Balaji was perfect.
