Chapter 3

"Did you both find it joke? Two days back, you both got married and today you are asking for divorce..!" The lawyer furiously told them.

"Sir, we both were forced into this marriage." RK said.

"But law doesn't see all this. We have some rules, we can't grant your divorce so easily." The lawyer said.

"Then, what do we need to do? I will do every possible things."

"You have to stay together for at least six months."

"What?" RK exclaimed in shock and looked at Madhu who was sitting there silently.

"Yes Rishab. You both have to be together at least for six months and then you can apply for mutual divorce. I can't help in it.." The lawyer explained.

"Isn't any other way to solve it?" RK asked when the lawyer nodded his head. Being frustrated, RK walked out from the court and furiously hit on the car.

"Rishab jee?" Madhu called him walking towards him when RK looked side way. "I know I am burden on you but please don't mess your life for me. I know you love Dipali jee and wanted to marry her."

"What do you want to say Madhubala?" RK asked irritate.

"I am just telling you, so what we can't get divorce now.. After six months we will get it. So, if you want you can marry Dipali jee in this meantime. Only you and me knows about the wedding and I won't reveal it to anyone. After six months, we will go to the court and apply for the divorce again."

RK looked at her and thought for a while and nodded.

Soon they reached outside the Kundra house, RK looked at Madhu saying, "You go.. I will go after some time, so that no one can get suspicious on us." Madhu nodded and stepped out from the car.

Madhu walked in the house when she saw Dipali present there, she walked to them when Dipali greeted, "Hi Madhu.." Madhu just smiled in return.

"Madhu.. Come and sit here. We are planning for bhai's engagement ceremony." Trishna said excited and dragged Madhu and made her sit on the sofa. "See Madhu, isn't perfect ring for bhai?" She showed Madhu a platinum ring from the catalog when Madhu saw RK coming. "Tell me na Madhu." Trishna shook her.

"Yes. It's nice."She smiled.

Seeing the arrangements, RK walked to them and took sit beside Dipali asking, "What's going on?"

Dipali smiled and wrapped her arm around him saying, "Mom dad fixed our engagement date. It's after two days. Isn't a great news?" As Dipali said RK looked at Madhu who pretend to be happy.

"Dipali jee.. You are really lucky that Rishab jee loves you so much." Madhu said smiling.

"Yeah, you are right Madhu." Dipali said smiling back.

At night, Madhu was standing at the terrace when RK came there to get some fresh air and saw Madhu. "You here?" He asked standing beside her.

Madhu wiped her tears saying, "Nothing. I was missing Krishna, so just thought to come here."

"Madhubala, I am sorry." RK apologized.

"For what?" She asked looking at him.

"For everything. I know I was harsh towards you. I behaved badly with you where you had not at your fault but every time I blamed you for everything."

"It's okay Rishab jee.. I understand your situation. You are afraid of losing someone that's why you can't accept me, I totally understand it. I came in between you two but believe me, I will left the house very soon. I will settle in somewhere else."

"What? Why?"

"I don't want to trouble you much. Very soon, you will get married with Dipali jee and if I stay here, things will get complicated day by day and I don't want it." She explained.

"But our divorce?" He reminded.

"Don't worry. I will come often." She smiled.

"After our divorce, I will personally take you to your village and inform them everything and will apologize from everyone. I won't let you stay here alone, it won't be safe for you. And until I am not getting married, you will stay here only, after that I will arrange some safe place for you." He said slightly showing his concern for her.

"It's okay Rishab jee.. I will manage."

"I didn't give you any option Madhubala, I told you my decision." Without his knowledge, he showed his right on her, seeing him getting angry, she nodded.

After two days, the arrangements were going on at Kundra house for Rishab and Dipali's engagement. Everyone were busy in their respective works. Madhu was instructing the workers to decorate well when Madhu saw RK coming, she didn't bother to talk to him but remembered that in two days, he behaved very normally with her, he didn't use any harsh words which could hurt her. She was trying to concentrate on her work when she heard RK calling her, she turned at him when he came to her. "Madhubala, I brought something for you." He said forwarding the packet.

"What's in it?" She asked.

"Saree.. For you.." As he said, Madhu looked up at him. "Actually, today I gifted everyone something, but you were left, so I brought it for you and I want you to wear it in the evening." He smiled.

"Thank you but you don't need to do all this. But as you want, I will surely wear. Thank you." She took the packet with a smile and was going to leave but her feet slipped and she fall on his chest while RK hold her arm tightly, they shared a short eye lock, at the same time Dipali came with Ranveer and Aditi - Ranveer's girlfriend. Seeing them so close, Dipali gets jealous while Ranveer noticed their chemistry.

"RK??" Dipali said aloud coming to them when RK, Madhu looked at them and he made her stand.

"Dipali, when did you come?" RK asked going to Dipali while Madhu left from there.

After talking with Dipali for some time, RK excused and left with Ranveer. "Is everything fine RK?" Ranveer asked curious.

RK looked at him and chuckled saying, "Yes. Everything is fine."

".. And with Madhu?"

"What happened with her?" RK asked confuse.

"I saw you both so close for the first time." He told him when RK recalled the moment.

"So? She was about to fall and I gave her support that's it." RK explained.

"That's it? Are you sure? RK the way you were looking at her was different. Wasn't that a magical moment for you?" Ranveer asked.

"What are you saying all this Ranveer..? Have you gone mad..? We have nothing between us." RK said rolling his eyes.

"But I don't think so RK. I hope you realize it soon that you both are made for each other." Ranveer said patting on his shoulder and was going to leave when RK stopped him saying, "I need a favor from you..!"

"Yeah say..?"

"I want Madhubala to stay with Aditi for next six months. Can you convince Aditi for it..?" RK asked.

"Yes. But why for six months only..?" As Ranveer asked, RK explained everything. "You are sick RK..!" He said making faces and left from there.

In the evening, Madhu gets ready in that saree which RK brought for her. She walked out from her room when she collide with RK. "I am sorry." She apologize.

But RK's eyes were on Madhu, he kept looking at her from top to bottom. "You are looking beautiful." Madhu smiled when her eyes fall on Dipali who arrived with her family. "Dipali jee arrived." Saying this Madhu left from there.

RK greeted with the guests and very soon the ring ex-change ceremony started. Once they ex-change the rings, Madhu looked on. She didn't know why, but she felt hurt to see him committing with someone else.

"Dipali, Karwa-chauth is coming and this year, I want you to keep fast for Rishu." Radha demanded when Madhu reminded her marriage with RK and looked at him.

"Sure mummyji." Dipali said excited.

"Ladies and gentlemen, let's make the evening more interesting by playing a game." Ranveer announced along with Aditi. "See, the game is simple.. We have made few chits written the guy's name who are present here. Then we'll go to the girls and ask them to pick a chit, whose name will be written in her chit, she will dance with him. Isn't it excited?"

Everyone clapped excited. "Then let's start with our would be bride." Saying this Aditi walked to her while Dipali whispered to RK, "We will dance." He smiled.

"Dipali pick..!" Aditi said while Dipali picked a chit and read the name 'Sikki'. "It's okay Dipali. It's just a game." Aditi cheered her when she danced with Sikki happily.

After that they target few more girls and they danced with their partners. "Now.. Who can be the next..!" As Aditi said, Ranveer winked at her. "Madhubala.." Madhu looked on shock.

"No.. Please, I can't participate. Please..!" She denied.

"Come on Madhu, it's a game. Go for it." Trishna and Aditi insisted her when she agreed, she picked a chit from the left chits and handed it to Aditi. She opened it and smiled saying, "It's RK.." RK Madhu looked at each other. "Finally our would be groom get chance to dance." Aditi teased.

"I can't please." Madhu tried to convince them but they weren't in mood to listen when she saw RK coming to him saying, "Come Madhubala." Madhu looked at him shock and looked at Dipali who pretend to be normal but inside she was feeling jealous. "Don't worry." RK assured when she placed her hand on him and they walked to the floor.

Ranveer played the song when RK held Madhu's one hand and made her place another hand on his shoulder. He slowly slipped his hand on her waist and slightly pulled her towards him, she looked at him shocked, RK ignored her look and they danced on the song.

At the end of the song, everyone clapped for them when Madhu saw Dipali uncomfortable, so she left the floor.

Few days left, nowadays RK didn't give time to Dipali which made her suspicious but she didn't complain him ever, even his closeness with Madhu irritated her so on a day when she saw Madhu sitting alone, she went to her. "Hi Madhu.."

Madhu smiled at her. "Madhu, did you get any clue about your husband..?" Madhu looked up at her, she had no answer. "Madhu, I think you should find him and get settle with him. How long will you stay like this..? The family is very nice but you can't stay here forever right?"

Madhu looked on hurt but she knew why Dipali behaving like this. "Dipali jee, Radha aunty told me to stay here till your wedding that's why I am here. I told Rishab jee that I will leave the house after that."

"You don't need to inform every small thing to RK. I hope you understand what I mean.." Madhu nodded and left from there hurt.

Dipali turned and saw RK standing, RK was going to say something to her but she ignored him and left from there. "What's wrong with her..? Why is she behaving like this with Madhu?" He wondered.

Few days passed, Madhu maintained the distance from RK. The karwachauth day arrived, Madhu was sitting in her room when RK walked in calling her. "Yes Rishab jee?"

"Madhubala.. I hope you didn't keep any fast. I know every married women keep this fast for their husband's well being. And.. I know you think me as your.." But he paused. "I hope you didn't keep it because I can't break your fast. Dipali is my would be wife and I will break her fast."

Madhu nodded saying, "I know. You don't worry, I will not bother you."

"Thank you." Saying this RK walked out from the room when Madhu thought, "May be you won't accept me but this is the fact that now you are my husband and I will keep this fast for you Rishab jee."

In the evening, all the ladies gathered at Kundra house and perform the rituals, Madhu also perform the rituals without RK's notice. All were waiting for the moon to appear when Dipali saw Madhu was standing alone, she goes to her saying, "Madhu, how will you break your fast..! I mean your husband.."

"So what my husband isn't with me.. But I am his wife and I have right to think about his well being. Right..?" She asked and looked at RK who was busy with the other men.

Soon the moon appeared and one by one everyone broke their fast. "RK come..!" Dipali dragged him on the terrace when RK saw Madhu. "RK, moon has came.. Come and break my fast." RK still looking at Madhu who smiled at him and looked away.

Dipali perform the puja, meanwhile Madhu started feeling uneasy as it wasn't good to keep fast during pregnancy. She looked at RK who was happily enjoying Dipali's company. Other side, Dipali finished her puja and asked RK to break her fast. RK took the water pot and was going to made her drink water when suddenly Madhu fainted and fall on floor, seeing this RK immediately ran to her. "Madhubala.. Madhubala.. Open your eyes." RK patted on her cheek.

Seeing her senseless Radha came to her. "Rishu, made her drink some water.." As she said, RK took the water pot from her puja thal and made her drink, Madhu slightly opened her eyes but in next mom, she again fainted. RK picked her up in his arms and took her inside.

"Doctor, is there anything serious with her..?" RK asked worried when doctor examine her.

"Mr Kundra.. Why did you let her keep fast..? It wasn't good for her health." As the doctor said, RK reminded that he strictly told her not to keep fast, meanwhile Dipali came there saying, "RK isn't her husband, she is our guest only."

"Oh.. I am sorry but she shouldn't keep it."

"What happened with her doctor..?" Radha asked worried.

"Thankfully nothing happened but I am giving her few tests, please do it fast then I can confirm it whatever I am thinking is right or not.." The doctor said with a smile.

"What do you mean doctor..?" Radha asked.

"May be she is expecting a baby." She said smiling when everyone gets happy but RK looked on shock but in next moment, he remembered the village lady told him but it slipped from his mind completely. "Oh shit..! How can I forget this..?" He cursed himself for forgetting such big thing and looked at Madhu who was sleeping innocently.

Superb update dear.Finally unknowingly rk broke madhu's fast.Madhu agreed to give him divorce but she did that for rk's happiness.When he will understand madhu's feelings...
