What do you think of the show so far?

The reason I am giving it a watch is , though the template is the same - revenge saga, anti hero etc, the girl with a spine and who is no cry baby is a refreshing change. Thought from the initial promos, I do get that adiraj and Devi will end up getting married. I really wanna see how she gives it back and stands up to him.

What are your thoughts?

As per the promos of the show its clear that devi is no damsel in distress and will stand up for herself. This is what attracted me to the show.

I hope that the makers continue to show her as a strong willed woman and not butcher her character which is a very common thing in Indian tv soaps.

I want her to stand up against adhiraj and teach him a good lesson about respecting women...

Exactly Rapunzel.. where anti heroes are the norm, FLs with a spine are not. Devi is certainly not one to take things lying down. And that's got me intrigued

Adhiraj too is not completely black. So far, he has behaves like a typical male lead these days but alteast stopped when she asked him to stop the first time around..

Bhabhi is clearly listing after him.. wonder how that equation will be once he gets married and wonder how Devi will tackle it

Yeah exactly, Adhiraj is not a completely black character definitely grey, anti hero.. Yes he is but I did notice while talking to his bhabhi he did not even look at her while she was all drooling over him( do correct me if I m wrong).
Similarly he did not directly look at Devi during their first meet.
He is an anti hero I donot expect him to be mahaan and his circumstances turned him the way he is but with small instances like these I hope the CVs do maintain his integrity.
Regarding Devi her's is such a powerful character if handled well can become a turning point in the portrayal of FLs. Even I want to see how she tackles all the hurdles in her way esp that urmi bhabhi and her MIL.

You are absolutely right! He didnt spare the bhabhi a glance.. least of all lust after her. And true that, he looked straight past Devi in the first meet, just urging his goonda brethren to hurry up.

the bhabhi did mention that Adhiraj takes all decisions after a lot of deliberation and nothing is impulsive.

He is an anti hero I donot expect him to be mahaan and his circumstances turned him the way he is but with small instances like these I hope the CVs do maintain his integrity.

My only apprehension here is that, I read an article which stated that this show is a take on Rabindranath's jogajog which is a depressing tale highlighting marital rape! and in that the protagonist does have an illicit relationship with his sis in law.If the show is indeed about this, then we will have to wait to see how Adhiraj remains grey or if he turns to devil incarnate

Indeed jogajog is a poignant tale highlighting marital rape and the protagonist never falls in love with her husband but only stays wid him for the sake of her duty as a wife but it has also been mentioned that this show is a mordern adaptation of beauty and the beast. The way the story proceeds is upto the writers but I want the FL to stand up for herself given any situation.

Chalo, atleast from this discussion one thing is clear and that is.. they have two fans in us already, who are avidly dissecting the show 👍🏼

Personally, I dont want a dark tale like jogajog.. am fine with the beast and beauty take 😊
