A movie on INCREASING SOCIAL INTOLERANCE in this age of social media, where having our own voice through various platforms should've on the contrary made us more tolerant, respectful of others whilst having healthy discussions or exchange of opinions, more in terms of understanding one another. 😛

live and let live - should be the title of the movie.. 😃

And yes, this is a social issue! How will a society progress when people cannot be tolerant of one another?

yes and there's an issue of inheritance rights of people and their successors of who have migrated to Pakistan.. "Enemy's Property Act" or something.. I didn't understand the issue but it's quite complex and involves too many intricacies and this issue is not much spoken about as far as I'm aware.

Which reminds me, Indians in Pakistani prisons and Pakistanis in Indian prisons... what is the issue? The legal and prison administration side of it..

A movie on freedom of speech would be good. People taking offense on others' behalf is stupidity on another level. Like the kind of uproar we saw for the picture of Modi Ji with that Dog filter was honestly hilarious. People were offended coz of a dog filter. It's much needed given how not just AIB but many regular people in the past have also been thrown behind the bars for posting sth on social media(other than a cyber crime)

I'm sure there are tons of social issues. But the thing is that if you make a movie about a social cause because you want it to be about that social cause, it will end up being just propaganda and nothing more. Ideally, you make a movie telling a story that you want to, and if that naturally inculcates a social cause that is fine instead of adding one just for the sake of adding it.

The hardship the victims face, how mostly they are shunned by the society sometimes even by their family and mental and physical torture they go through...

Oh I can so relate with you... Even I come from a progressive and educated Hindu family and I have faced worst.. While my grandfather was still alive, mine was the family that did not even wanted girls to come out of their home during those days. And even if we needed to come out we needed to make sure not to bump into any male member of the family. the males in my family believed that seeing the face of menstruating female was the biggest SIN, something which could even shorten their life span.

Once I inadvertently bumped into grandpa in one of those days.. I was just returning back from my coaching classes and he was going out for his evening walk... And the hullabaloo that followed-- my home turned into fish market over the span of 5 minutes. And I did not know why I wrong had I done and the slap I got from my grandma when I tried to explain that it was inadvertent... Oh boy!!!

And the irony was my grandpa used to be a professor of Sociology...🤣
