Thanks for replying politely, I have to admit I was hesitant to say anything on this thread because I didn't want to get misunderstood, and so far everyone has been very open minded! 😆 Hows this for a shocker--I agree with you. Yeah, the screen space issue is there if you include randos like Priveer, like Samar (what IS HE there for? 😕) et al. No one can fairly say that Harneet is not biased, or that Rikara is not given step-motherly treatment, what I want to know is.. why? It is not because of the rude ppl of Twitter.
That cannot be the reason! To make some people upset, will they sideline powerhouses like Shrenu and Kunal, and risk having them leave by not giving them decent work? This is a production house, this is a business. How stupid would Gul have to be to shoot herself in the foot and take revenge on strangers by sidelining literally one third of her couples, and her earning potential (the others being Shivika and Advni)?
Its a 45 minute show. There is PLENTY of time to devote to Rikara. What do you think is the reason there is no growth there? I'm genuinely curious. As for bit actors like that idiot Nagini and that Thangabali Vikram who was given a music wala intro-- for us Shivikans and for you guys, that was unnecessary and again an example of how Harneet is depriving the CORE SHOW by going for easily scripted time-pass like these two. That is lazy writing, more than servicing Shivika or the fans, because it is NOT making us happy. All these outside clowns have deprived us of our couple's meaningful growth as well.
Hopefully you know that Shivikans are NOT pleased with Nagini showing up with tassels down to her belly button, or with Thangabali's love-at-first-sight with Anika. They are completely pointless to the story and gives us ulcers for no reason. But these little nakres of Harneet can only be temporary (please God) and so not really screen space stealing overall. Problem is, yeh jayega, kuch aur ayega. Next will be say, Priyanka who has been in the madhouse for months now, or Bhavya's showdown with Sultan. etc etc. Harneet just chooses NOT to address the Rikara issue.

But I would say, TejVi, TejLana and even whatever the hell is happening with Vi-Lana are essential components to the Rikara story-- like Ponky is to Shivika. Furthermore, Svetlana is a classy addition to the Rikara world--the classiest vamp we have on this show, with literally the best brains of anyone on it--hero or villain. Without her there is no tension, and no scope for issues until they rehire Kaali Thakur. The truth is Gauri and Omkara are one solid 10 minute sensible conversation (along with some private detecting) away from clearing a pointless misunderstanding completely.
Maybe the reason Harneet is so useless with a Rikara storyline is because she thinks they will head straight to suhaag raat if the MU is over (which is just insane on her part). A great storyline would be Omkara politely letting Gauri go after he finds out what an ass he has been, and she thinking he doesn't care, and leaving just as politely. And then we can see some actual angst on Om's part, with him stalking her and showing up and disrupting her life as she moves on, and finally romancing her like she deserves.
This sati savitri showing of Gauri as Biwi No. 1 makes HER prove to HIM that she is worth his time. She is NOT worth his time. She is worth MORE. She is BETTER than he is--he should be showing HER he deserves her. No bashing, please, these are just my thoughts!
