Rikara ke beech ek bhi serious discussion nahi mila abhi tak... Om hears dandi n thinks he was wrong... Gauri did so much n told him aap hame samjhe Kab the... N he nvr asked her story from her... Om we knew was a guy who hated lies but always gave a ear to what the other has to say...

Kya Kahen... Yes I hv been a shivika but Om. Fan too from IB...watched Dbo but nvr wrote at forums...

Infact Dbo mein bhi rikara Kam n Svets jns. Bua Maa jyada that

Now despite being shivika fan I find rikara story being handled very shallowly.. Shrenu is such a good actress n she is hardly getting anything to perform... Shivika ka forgotten catharsis... Silly engagement drama mein even shivika have lost complete charm.

. Kya bakwaas hai... Shivika ko ruin Kiya with forced separation n najayaz crap of a mad rant of woman who calls herself mother.. Kalank on motherhood... And then writer has now spoilt rikara by making Om as shallow as it can get... The realisation of his assumptions... His inability to ask for forgivable... His need to educate Gauri not for his ego but to her own good... Gauri's growth... Their gradual growth in love... So much cud hv been done so beautifully... But what we got... Thullu... Sab tracks se thullu...

With RiKara there was more SS given to everyone except them even in DBO.
The damn Croc that KT had was given more episodes and dialogues ... lol
They dragged that damn thing for episodes and episodes. KT's heart-to-heart with the croc was more touchingly projected by the writer than a single meaningful scene between RiKara. The writer even made sure to let us know KT's sentimental connection to his croc more than a background story on Gauri's mother and her Family. 😆

Then there was Svet or should I say 'There still IS Svet' or whoever that crazy masked stranger is. They showed more about her history, her at the college, her going through some fantastical surgery (which we still have to tap into btw) and her naps in the ice box that would shame Count Dracula, than a story about Om trying to figure out what exactly happened in Barelliy with Gauri. Like really???
The writer thought we were all eager to see KT-Svet-Tej in a threesome love story and what happened between KT-Svet that has 'Humari Aadhori Kahani' playing in the back while they gaze at each other while Om and Gauri are reduced to sides.
Svet, who of course is not Svet, is still after the Oberoi's and we still do not know what her damn beef is with the Oberoi's because she is definitely not a Kapoor but lives there in the house alone with Tia's pictures hanging on the walls and Mrs. K conveniently missing... sigh!!! My head is spinning now ... too much about Svet. Who is the FL lead here?? Gauri or Svet??

Then as if that was not enough we got Bua Ma and Ratan hogging up the SS. Kya bhai?? DBO was set up for RiKara love story's foundation not all these Vamps and Villains with their pet crocs and empty baby swings with 'Woh aayaga - dekho woh aa gaya" style dialogues. The writer wasted DBO and is now wasting IB and still doing absolutely nothing with Rikara to move the story into a more engaging one. MU is used over and over again and she is making Om flip like freakin' Free Willy!!!
Ek din he is fine with Gauri and has made progress and then suddenly he is Shivvay version 2.
Bhai writer saheba!! this is Omkara not Shivvay. Learn to keep the two separate if possible.

All I can conclude is that now we have Ragini and Vikram hogging space with the resident 'Doctor Hannibal Lecter' Pinky back with her 'Najayaz hai!!!' echoing through the OM halls wasting SS while this foolish engagement/wedding track takes all the plot up. I dearly hope that she does not butcher Gauri and Bhavya because we have started liking them now.

So I actually worry more about 'what' the writer does when she allots SS to any couple rather than 'how much' SS because in DBO she had enough opportunity to build RiKara but she failed everyone who is a RiKara fan (that includes me btw)

What was the point of Gauri's mother, Gauri the muse, the shall I leave/shall I stay push-pull? How far did it move the needle, if Om still doesn't know anything about Gauri's real truth? Also, you cant solve a 3 month build up scene of the main MU in one scene. It is one that has almost killed the heroine via the indirect actions of the hero. How dare you solve it with a 3 minute intro of a random brother character half the people have forgotten? Why should Om believe his words, and not the truth of his eyes, for the past 2 months? You cannot suggest that Om's awareness of the truth is done, his regret is done. He cant just say.. Oh no, I made a mistake! and then frenziedly paint many pictures of his wife. Its insane and cynical character butchering, for Om and Gauri both.

And I dont see how Rikara benefits from Obros either.

Bringing Om back to IB to reasonable family members like Rudra, or introducing Shivaay to Gauri and setting that up did NOT help them here-- as it should have. Om and Rudra were instrumental in Shivika. From the beginning, and even more so, now. So what is Shivaay and Rudra doing, for Rikara, if they dont do anything major to help now?

Rikara had their own show, 20 mins devoted to them for 3 months. It was better known as the Rayna Party. Harneet cant complain that she didn't get a proper character arc in Gauri, along with a great actress to work with. Its not like Rikara don't have a solid ( SOLID...😆 ) fan base, who moved with them to IB. But even if IB is Harneet's baby, then even for IB to move on, especially when we have Nakuul taking holidays frequently, to be prepared for illnesses or something, the parallel leads should have a robust story line by now. Its been 2 months of hour long shows. Its inexcusable.

I know SOME Rikarans have been demanding screen space, rudely -- on Twitter --- and the rudeness (NOT the demand) is what is annoying to me. Someone actually did shut that down by showing that minute by minute, they have had equal screen space. But screenspace for the hell of it should not be a Rikaran demand. Or a Shivikan demand. Our demand as fans of both couples should be, dialogue, proper angsty regret on the part of a proper angst bhara Om. And a proud heroine who will give him hell, because she certainly faced hell. Where is the steel spine Gauri displayed when she totalled the hell out of his car, and capped his shayari with her own badass one, in her FIRST scene? That was a Nayi Soch heroine!

A return of THAT Gauri is what we should demand. Not even romance--dialogue, friendship, learning each other, as people and as husband /wife. I think the more legitimate issue for Rikara, is actual growth. There is no need to send them to Manali or Bareily or Vanwas or whatever. Give the damn fine actors Shrenu and Kunal something within themselves, to do. Put them in one room, and let them ACT.

Something about her education (everyone go read the drabble smileyallora wrote--its brilliant) or hell, even some scenes they can bloody steal from the writers on this site. I'm sure Rikarans wont mind. If Harneet needs pointers, she should turn to Fayemia, yayini, and my personal favorite Rikara writer, writergenie17. Harneet could turn to a hundred such sources, who have excellent one shots which are not wholly new stories, but just ways for these two to connect, talk, explore each other and not just be so DAMN WOODEN. You dont have time, Harneet? We do! Try us!

I feel for this fan base when it comes to this, because for Shivikans, when Anika is being irritating and Shivaay is a brainless idiot, we have 300 episodes to rewatch. Shivika times filled with magic and fun and tadi and emotion. The pure Rikarans have...an alligator. And Om who was a half price Shivaay knockoff for the whole of DBO. Robots, Vamps in ice boxes. And a man-boy in Mickey Mouse pants who made the hero question his sexuality for 2 months. It must be hell to be a Rikara fan, exclusively, and to not have anything else to look forward to day after day. I am not mocking this. I am truly, honestly, upset that any fanbase would have this crap to deal with, to give hard earned money and their viewership over to a show that is supposed to offer equality and fairness, and gives lies and scorn instead.

What I DONT get is this-- Its not just better storytelling, it is actually going to be necessary to the long term survival of the show, to get Rikara on a strong footing. WHY wont Gul/Harneet do this?

The downfall started once Lana and her scientific experiments started. The downfall of DBO occurred primarily due to the Lana track. MultiLana always eats into RiKara space. The same is happening here. Since the time MultiLana entered IB RiKara are almost nil (And yes we have the HS proof over last 2 weeks). The TRPs have started falling. Who wants to watch 15 min of TejViLana? I am sure Lana will bring about the downfall of IB also. The count down begins.
