Why is this psudeo-intellectual director given so many chances to tell the same story with different actors every year? He's not creative. He barely has any skills to edit a good film or tell a good story. Maybe with JWM and Socha Na Tha, but this many has the same ole stories in every movie. Bollywood is dying due to these folks: Imtaiz Ali, Aditya Chopra, Kabir Khan, and Anurag Basu.

In reality bollywood hardly ever give proper credit to directors. Unless you are Raju Hirani or SLB or Karan Johar all the credits goes to star...A flop makes a director's career end while the star gets chances after chances to prove themselves...Its bollywood star centric mentality which is causing this issues.

OT- Haven't seen JHMS but I liked Imtiaz's movie till Tamasha happened

It will be good if they hire proper script writers
Most of the scripts are half baked now
That don't connect to the audience

He was considered amongst the best when good films were scarce. Early 2000's were crappy.. post 2009 when good stories/directors came into the fray, Imtiaz began appearing like the weakest link, compared to Kashyap. There was a time when he was considered a good script writer, his dialogues were refreshing, think he ran out of ideas post JWM, Rockstar has had the worst dialogues out of all his movies, relying on that 1 Rumi quote. Ranbir mouthing, 'girlfriend ban ja meri', cringe worthy..

He has good ideas, concept of LAK and Tamasha had so much promise, but lacks execution, it's a shame cos being such an affable guy, you want to like his work.
