Aamir Khan has finally come back from
Europe where he shot for Thugs of
Hindostan as well as spent some vacation
time with his wife and filmmaker Kiran Rao.
The actor returned to Mumbai last night and
attended the trailer launch of Secret
Superstar today.
Given the fact that his last movie, Dangal
delivered incredibly at the box-office, it
made sense when Aamir was asked about
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, a Tollywood
movie that also created box-office history
even in the Hindi medium.
On whether the industry has felt the
pressure of Baahubali's success, Aamir
revealed, "Personally, I think it is great. I
think this is what cinema is all about.
Baahubali has shown us that language is
not a barrier and as long as people connect
with the material, they connect with the
story, they connect with the characters. That
is what is important. So, I'm really happy for
the film. I have not seen it unfortunately as
yet. But I look forward to seeing it and I
think it's great. We should make films that
people...it's so wonderful that people have
connected so deeply with the film and gone
out there to see the film. Actually, that film
has shown us the potential of Hindi films
which we have not yet gone to tap. So, it's
really wonderful. I think it's great and all
congratulations to the entire team for the
huge success that they had. I'm really happy
about it."
Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar
also stars Aamir Khan, Meher Vij and Raj
Arjun. The movie is slated for a Diwali 2017
release.
