Well she did extend her hand in comfort centimeters away from placing it on his shoulder, that itself is a huge step from Kanak. That she sees him as a human, who gets hurt reminiscing about his father, how he misses his father. Her hand was there and he saw it, he smiled at her to ease her, acknowledging her offer of comfort and understanding, knowing it's big deal that she even thought about putting s hand to his shoulder. That scene was absolutely perfect for me. They both were actually together in that moment.

Oh dear !!! Anything is possible in soap land. But the important factor here is earlier they were working with a normal pace, but after the picture was intentionally ruined by Payal, Kanak had that fiery spirit of revenge, by fixing it, at that time she had no thoughts of food, Uma or Bhabho. She just had that picture which needed to be fixed. And so she completed her task.

Well Massi has apparently given Kanak the keys which is quite a step for a new Bahu or any Bahu, but I think it's mostly to put Payal down subtly, she didn't go and confront Payal, rather gave keys to Kanak, the power which Payal has been running after, is simply given to Kanak. -- am I making sense.
Yeah it might be called kitchen politics, but that's an essential for trp aunties, aunties say 'abs' not enough 😆
Yes the pace had really picked up since the evening timing, otherwise afternoons were absolute snooze fest.

in the temple Uma says that Kanak has pasted the test, but Kanak replays still 4 hours to go & jewels stolen when they get home? Who knows but Kanak failed the servant test on grounds of refusing to drink the water , same could apply here
