Hey there all the lovely people
Here is a short episode review.
Often in life there are situations when one is alone, nobody is watching and one is tempted to commit a mistake/crime. It's that one moment which shapes up the future of having control and being good, or giving in to the temptation and being guilty of it. God is omnipresent, wherever it's that Almighty who plays the role of big boss..watching over everyone, even when one is alone. It usually the voice of 'zameer' that stops one from doing something bad.. ever since Kanak has taken up honesty as her mantle, her commitment to repent and get the shop back even God is acting as her savior... she does get thoughts of cheating but is pulled back on track by God. Today also she was inches from eating that rasgula, but she looked at shivji's idol and remembered Bhabhos teaching that God watches all and realized that she is doing God's work and shouldn't cheat.
Uma walks in watching her immersed in work, she looks back at him in awe, she asks how is he different from others.. he has no likes or dislikes, eats boiled food, lives with discipline and rules, fasts all day and is ever ready to treat his patients-- it's a chain of questions about Uma that Kanak asks, not because she has a motive, she just wants to know how he does that. How has he managed to be different. She questions if he longs for something, something that makes him restless.
Uma replies very simply that like a house is made with brick, with right leveling and balance, the same way individual life can be structured. He confesses about his longing that he longs for his father, whenever he sees a father son, he is reminded of his father, he wants to go back in time to be that carefree 5 year old, who rode on his fathers back... Uma narrates it with such simplicity that Kanak couldn't resist placing her hand on his shoulder, her offer of comfort though incomplete is acknowledged by Uma, he smiles and she pulls back her hand. --- a very simple scene, with all the elements of tugging at the strings of heart.. we as viewers too might not want grand drama, but such heart to heart conversations that join them together, their memories to sharing together.
Payal is having nightmares regarding Kanak... she is obsessed with Kanak, her desperate attempt to talk to shiv was weird, shiv is a little kid who does what he wants, what if he read the stories with Kanak or will read the next one by himself.. why is Payal running behind him.. shivs rejection makes Payal burn in jealousy in which she pours water on the painting Uma and Kanak had been working so hard on.
While everyone is admiring the portrait and appreciating the hard work, water falls and everything is left in ruins. Payal lies that water fell by mistake. Kanak and Massi knows better. Uma is angry in her but Massi asks him to have patience.. Kanak steps forward and says that she would make amends and everything will be done on time, suman tries to dissuade her, but Kanak is determined to fix the pairing as it's the family tradition and she wants to beat Payal too. --- what Payal did was basic trick from the book of evilness, planning plotting and executing it all by themselves, lying to the face and playing the victim card by saying my ankle twisted but I am sorry.
Kanak fixes the painting all by herself, more determined than ever before.. this is Kanak, who never back down from any challenge put in front of her, especially when she is working to clear up somebody else's mess.
Kanak and Uma carry the painting to mandir and ladies appreciate it. Massi comes forward with a gift for Kanak. She hands her the keys, Kanak is shocked but Payal is going to pass out of anguish. -- Massi here has played a master stroke. She just didn't give Kanak the keys just because she was happy with Kanak, but to put an end to Payals antics of undermining Kanak. She place the power in Kanak's hand to put Payal at her place, that love and respect is not snatched or plotted but won with determination and love.
