Udaan starts with Kamal Narayan accompanying Tejaswini and Imli (Vidhi Pandya) to Chakor (Meera Deosthale). He says he will talk to Chakor alone and try to convince her. Imli is against the idea as she is aware he would make Chakor do something else. Tejaswini though trusts Kamal Narayan completely and tells Imli they should let Kamal Narayan talk to Chakor. Imli hesitantly agrees. Kamal Narayan enters and praises Chakor for doing just as he asked her to do. He then shows her a video where the children he kidnapped are working. Chakor asks him what else should she do to earn the children's freedom. Imli stands worried about what Kamal Narayan would be making Chakor do. Chakor comes out and throws the shagun ka thal as she pushes Kamal Narayan too. She says she has already told she will not marry Suraj (Vijayendra Kumeria) and that is final. Imli asks Tejaswini to take a dramatic Kamal Narayan home and she would talk to Chakor.
Imli asks Chakor to tells Suraj the truth that way they can together fight Kamal Narayan as otherwise her relationship and also Azadhghanj will fall prey to him. Chakor says she cannot do this as Kamal Narayan has warned that if Suraj gets any idea then he would vanish the kids. Imli thinks that Chakor must be bound but she is not and she would play an even smarter game. Kamal Narayan is happily distributing money to his servants when Vivaan (Paras Arora) enters and asks him to sign a cheque and also a deed of agreement which states that Kamal Narayan will have no role or right over any of his new business. He warns that if he disagrees then Vivaan will tell Suraj the truth. Kamal Narayan signs both the cheque and deed and thinks that once Suraj is the minister then he would teach Vivaan a lesson. Suraj and Chakor sit thinking of each other. Imli sees Suraj and thinks that she will not let Kamal Narayan destroy Chakor and Suraj's life and she is waiting for someone to come who would help her disrupt Kamal Narayan's plans. Harry(Shah Rukh Khan) and Sejal(Anushka Sharma) find Chakor and Suraj's engagement ring. Sejal meets Suraj and Harry meets Chakor and try to talk them into not giving up on their love just because of some misunderstandings or ego.
