Since the story is already filled & even overflowing with 'the thing' that you were suggesting, none was perhaps needed to be shown additionally , in the sewage line!

A four inch diameter sewage line pipe can barely allow some reptiles or rodent to navigate through!
Unless, Arjun & Saanjh assume the size of lilliputian, there is no way they can make an exit through that!
And those who are familiar with construction & civil works will know it better if it is said that nobody builds human-size underground tunnels for every commode in the building to exit waste water!

the hole needed to be dug by pro tools like a spade or something and this guy just dug it with those water drying things...how is it even possible?
