Anushka Sharma gets candid about an actor's insecurities.

Anushka Sharma has surely come a long way since her dream Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Since then the actress has worked with some of the biggest directors and there is certainly no looking back for the versatile actress.

When a leading daily asked if she feels pressured by the fact that younger actresses look up to her and Anushka replied, "There is absolutely no pressure, but everyone feels insecure. This industry breathes on insecurity; everyone benefits from the insecurities of an actor. I understood a lot of things about this workspace at a very young age and that has helped me a lot. A lot of people will try and make you insecure and enjoy your state of self-doubt. Here, actors are constantly pitted against each other; someone writes about it, and the studios benefit. If you fall for it, you'll ruin it for yourself. I am insecure too, but I don't let my fears determine my course of action. I have never let that happen and I'll ensure that it doesn't happen in the future too. Fear will never get to decide my course of action and hence, my fate."
Since she is working continuously when asked if she has any time for a social life and Anushka revealed, "I do nothing other than my job. Blame it on my social awkwardness also, but I don't really hang out with friends. I don't know if it's sad or funny, but I only have time for work, and whatever I'm left with is reserved for my loved ones. My work consumes me completely and at this point in my life, it shouldn't be any other way. Ideally, I would like to have some time to prep for films, but I'm not complaining about it.
Anushka will next be seen opposite Shah Rukh in Imtiaz Ali's Jab Harry Met Sejal which is slated to release on August 4, 2017.

I remember her look on KWK when she came with Anurag Kashyap.
All of a sudden there was some weight on her body and the face was completely different. Wonder what she would have done had that look been accepted by the people. She would have gone on that path for much longer.

When she's insecure she doesn't let her fears determine her course. Instead she goes and gets plastic surgeries done to feel good.

A lot of people will try and make you insecure and enjoy your state of self-doubt. Here, actors are constantly pitted against each other; someone writes about it, and the studios benefit. If you fall for it, you'll ruin it for yourself.

This part is so true and relevant
Competition is so intense now

If she can overcome her insecurities then it is the best for her
Always beneficial to have confidence on your abilities
