Why does Ranbir only sell in manchild characters ?

According to this forum, the solar system is lucky that Ranbir has graced it with his acting skills, people forget the origin of everybody's existence when it comes to praising his acting skills.

But sadly earth still rotates and sun still sets in the evening and similarly Ranbir keeps flopping in everything he does onscreen except playing spineless man child characters where he eats the shit outta female lead's peace of mind to accept his extra ordinary love.

So why does Ranbir only sell in such useless manchild characters ? As far as i see them, they are not even subtly romantic or inspiring. With Barfi as exception, there has been literally nothing that convinces me otherwise that he can carry different characters successfully.

Actors become star or their movies do well when audience can identify themselves with the character and gradually the actors build a image.

For example Salman has this golden heart, fearless guy who beat up guys. So when he tried to play Tubelight character it failed. He has this fan following who are like macho or like to think themselves as macho or ladki patao type just like Salman himself said Laundey lapades.

It's a fact.

Similarly Ranbir has this fan following of guys and girls who like metro-sexual chikna type guys and who always break their heart falling and cry over it and love to think themselves as Devdas. Girls be like oh sucha passionate lover.
They love his onscreen character as they identify with it or want it.

So he sells only when he plays manchild.

Your post made me laugh...especially the 'eating the sh*t outta the female lead' s life' lol

But didn't Tamasha fail...where apparently he played a man child? Woh dukaan bhi band ho gai lagta hai. No wonder he's trying to meddle into everything related to Dutt...last time he did that..We got a BV

Wish he sticks to just acting as he's good at only that...confessed by himself.

His script sense is not good...he should take someone's advise before signing films. Someone that's definitely not his father or best friend.

The last time I read, Ranbir had overtaken khans Hrithik Akki and Ajay in Bollywood 😭
