Why so much flak on costumes?

I have been reading the rants on the forum by many on costumes.
Before starting let me tell you that I am not a Barun or Sarun fan etc. I just try out different shows and continue if I like it.
I don't get why people are so much anti for these costumes.
They are trying out fashion runway costumes in the show, Its different and out of the box. Why cant people just appreciate it or look at it from a different point of view. Will they be happy if they wear those ghisa pita online shopping type chiffon or cotton sarees with those same routine jewellery.
I am actually intrigued by the costumes and jewelry. Obviously we don't wear them in daily life.. that's the whole point, to watch someone else wearing them on TV or on a fashion runway.
I also have criticism for few tracks they have shown but I feel few comments on costumes and acting etc are too negative.

My only problem with these clothes.

I have made peace with clothes...I hope everyone does that in some time like IB people did!

They threw me off and dont let me connect with story. However barun acting and shivani innocence are delightful to watch. The moment camera aims his pants . (mera mooh banjata hai)

Okay fine I gotta agree with the pants 😆 Barun is trying to pull it off with confidence but probably they can try out something else.
The ladies costumes are intriguing though for me 😃 especially the color combis they are trying out...

Trust me if i wouldnt have been here and read these continuous cmnt i wouldnt even look at costume.ya sure one two time i may laugh in amusement like i do in other shows too ..like yesterday i was watching a colours top trp show there lead was roaming around road with choli ghagra almost like a bride yet it didnt had any effect on me.

My problem is with ASR clothes. I am fine with the rest of them.

I don't have much problem with the clothes
But at times I do get horrified by them
For example the Jail type shirt Advay wore in the promo
But apart from that I accept most of them
If I don't like a costume I try to ignore it

There's nothing wrong with the clothes, in my opinion, its suits the entire world that IPK is created in. It's not like other shows with the ugly plain clothing and 3 piece suits

Because to me and many others the costumes are bad and don't go with the characters. A normal traditional family isn't so much into fashion that they will wear denim blouses and all.
