I was not sure if I wanted to write this or not. Whole night the ideas just popped up in my head and never went. In the end I decided to write this before I lose another night of sleep.
I have divided this into two posts. In Defense of Anika' would be posted soon, may be tomorrow.
Before I begin, you need to understand that I had not watched the separation episodes when they were aired. I watched then on Hotstar last week, and I did forward few scenes with Pinky and few random scenes. Anyway I did get the gist of the story. So if I have missed something or want to add few more points, please feel free. I would love to hear from you guys.
In Defense of Shivay:
Right now Shivay is a man with a broken soul. For the first time in his life he had trusted a person who was not his blood relative. Whether he acknowledged it or not, the moment he became this great wall of Shivay' for Anika, and Sahil in extension, is when we can see he is in love. Till then he protected only his family. That is how he expresses his love. His protection is his love. He can use any words he wants, like responsibility'.
When he fell in Love, he gave everything. He placed her above his family. He gave her his everything, and basked in the knowledge that he matters to her, that she protects him and his family. They are two peas of the same pod.
Then she broke him.
We all know what happened. But he does not. Yes, he should have realized that something was wrong. She stood by him when no one did. Anika he knew would not do such a terrible thing. But, she did behave in a terrible manner and hurt him. We need to understand from his point of view. She might be doing this out of some compulsion and she might be in trouble. So, why did she not confide in him? She should know that he will be with her. Did she think so less of their bond and relationship after all that they have been together? If she might be doing this deliberately, then why? All the things she said or acted out, was it because she wanted their relationship to end and this was her way to getting rid of him? In any of the cases, his hurt and anger is valid. I don't think he believed that she was after money. He must have known or will know, once his anger cooled down, when his hurt is bearable, that there has to a reason. But this will not erase the fact that his heart was broken. Oh! He forgave her the moment she came back to his home. He just wants to know why she did what she did. And that she loves him still. This is SSO we are talking. He will not give in this time so easily. She will have to work for it.
Many of us are understandably irritated with the way Shivay is behaving towards Ragini. I have a different take on it. A stalker harassing a woman, and no one believes her. Ring any bell? Shivay almost lost Anika to one such person, because he trusted Daksh over her. His own sister was subjected to abuse in the past. He will not let another woman suffer when he can help. Shivay in the past would not have done this. (Did he help her before knowing which family Ragini belongs to? Help me out here people). Why does he not believe Anika? Because he desperately wants her to be jealous of Ragini and that is why she is against Ragini. Also, there were attacks of Ragini in front of him. He might be thinking, Anika might have misunderstood the whole thing, even if her intentions are right.
In any case, Shivay will make Anika jealous and make her accept her Farak' while helping a woman in need. If Ragini is lying, what does it matter to him? He can eliminate her at any time. His games with Anika are more important. This is SSO we are talking about. He never has one goal, he has multiple agendas. He will make Anika desperate for him, desperate for his love. He will make Anika tell everything, but on his terms. He will make Anika say I love You' first. As I have always said, there is always one or the other game going on between Shivay and Anika.
