Dear Sakura,
Its a different idea with explaining with the help of portraits. The portraits were well chosen along with the line expressing it. I think its ure first time trying or attempting with portraits. As usual you have expressed it well. And always leave me with no words to describe it.
Coming to story its different to read the love story of Om during his college time. It can be seen that Om is in pain which makes him to be left alone. But he din knew tat destiny had had plan in healing his pain with love. Waiting to know how Ri's character will be.I think here Ri is nerd and fun girl. First meet itself he had drawn the picture of her. Waiting how the story proceeds. Update asap.
With love,
Divya.

N the two meet. N what a meet. Grinning at the way they do. Just too adorable. Yeah Omkaras state of mind is all bitter n dark n prefers loneliness to other humans when this girl walks in all conveniently. No explanations given no apologies rendered n sets this study date up. Loved it totally n the fact that Omkara scribbles those eyes of hers shows how powerful her entry has been.. super likes n cannot wait to read more. Can't wait to know the way Omkara celebrates his birthday n what really happened to RiKara . All in all one hooked customer. Thanks for this new take.. :)
Hi lovelies,😃
Hope you're having a good time for Omkara certainly isn't in this one. We're still at year 2007 and with his teenage self with a little glimpse of a cheeky Shivay. I sincerely hope to see you enjoying the read all the way down.
See you at the bottom!😳😳
Chapter Two
Teri baatein
2007, Mumbai, India
Omkara smiled, listening to his brother's voice pouring out from the telephone receiver held between his ear and shoulder as he wiped his glasses on his shirt.
"So, said Shivay a little curiously. "I called in earlier and someone told me you were working...like really, working on what?
"Oh, I have an answer to submit, Omkara bit back a smile as he imagined Shivay's face at that. "Don't worry it's not mine.
"Ah uh, said his older brother. "You've been keeping things from your brother Om, out with your secrets right now!
"It's nothing really, she's not even a proper friend that I'd tell you about...heck I don't even know her name.
"It's a she then, Shivay said cheekily.
"Shut up, you sound like Rudy... Omkara admonished him gently as he listened to his giggling brother. "Are you drunk by any chance Shivay?
"A bit, Shivay confessed, "Malika was here and we decided to chill a bit.
"God... Omkara groaned. "I knew it as soon as you started behaving like a mommy. Don't tell me I'm on loudspeaker now.
"You are, he continued to giggle, before cutting it short and adding hastily. "But there's no one here at the apartment now so don't hang up on me.
"Oh...did Malika ditch you finally?
"Why do you sound hopeful...little brother?
"Well...I care for the poor girl you see.
"So does Siddhart Rana apparently.
"Don't make the mistake of pushing her away Shivay, Omkara said slowly. "She is the best thing that ever happened to you.
Shivay sighed.
"I don't know Om. It's complicated. I agree Malika is a great girl, but still I can't picture my future with her. Whenever I think about it, she ends up filling that space of a very special friend...nothing beyond that. Like there's this big piece of my life missing...out there somewhere, huh?
"You crazy dog, Omkara muttered under his breath but choose not to comment on his brother's little confession. Shivay would probably forget everything by next morning and in case if he did remember he was going to pretend that he does not. So there was no point in lecturing him about love and life right now.
"Enough of me and Malika, what about you and this Anjaani of yours?
"Gosh, I wonder if Rudy is fatally wounded by any chance. You sound so shamelessly like his spirit.
"This is not gonna work, you have to tell me Om.
"We had a fight. Omkara said shortly. "I don't think she'd ever see me again.
"You are not even on name basis and you had a fight. Wah! Relationship goals!
"Shivay, you better sleep it off I guess.
"Is she pretty? Shivay ignored his last comment.
"Hmm.
"Long hair?
"Hmm.
"Dark eyes?
"Hmm
"Silent types?
"Hmm
"Arrogant?
"A bit.
"You like her?
"Hmm... wait what? Shivay burst out laughing.
"Now you have to tell me everything, from the very beginning.
"Remind me not to call you ever again when you're drunk.
"I'd love to, but I won't remember myself. Chuckled Shivay. "Hmm start talking now!

He continued to frequent that coffee shop, simply to catch a glimpse of her. She didn't come everyday, but when she did there was that bulging bag of library books and notepads hanging from her shoulder. They didn't talk anymore, not because he didn't wanted to, but because she had nothing to say. They would sit in silence with her jotting down her assignments and him sketching on his sketchpad and the evenings went by cocooned in comfortable silences. Omkara started to look forward to those silent meetings at the cafe, her mere presence took his mind off the troubles back at his home, even if it was only for a couple of hours. He loved watching her, when she was unaware, noting the little traits to her behavior. Had he been any wiser, he would have known he was falling for that girl who was still a complete mystery to him. She twisted a strand of her hair around her index finger, when a particular question looked difficult, she would mutter to herself with her eyes closed when she couldn't recall something, her eyes would light up as they found him sulking at a corner table, whenever she walked into the cafe.
He noticed something was off with her, the moment she walked inside that day. There was a crack across the left lens of her huge glasses and a stain of mud across her cheek. As usual she said nothing as she sat down and pulled out her work for the day. After a minute or two, she sighed taking off the glasses and glaring at them. Probably she couldn't read without them, he wondered watching her frowning at the book next.
"May I help? He offered innocently, holding out a hand to take the book from her.
She looked at him and rolled her eyes.
"Unless you can magically repair my glasses, I don't think that's possible, her tone was as indifferent as ever. Then she sighed. "I don't know why people get behind the wheel when they have no idea where the road ends and people begin.
"Someone hit you? The words were out of his mouth before he could stop them. She gave him a dark look.
"Well duh! She wiped her cheek with her sleeve and buried her face in her hands. "Privileged people!
He snatched the book on which she was resting her elbows and propped it open.
"I'll read it for you, what is this about... his voice trailed off as his eyes skimmed over the content of the page. "Contracts? This is about contractual law right?
"Um hm, she raised her head, looking at him quizzically.
"You're a law student?
"Yes, Mr. Artist. She said sarcastically, "Now if you really want to help, you'll have to write my answer too.
He nodded slowly, still reading the complicated passage about terms and conditions and looked up at her.
"What do you want me to write?
Aish! She made a disapproving sound. "I'll tell you what to write, once you read me page 69 to 75. Obediently, he started to read, she propped her chin on her elbow and watched him, occasionally repeating things in whisper. "Can you please make a note of that point, the case and the reference...here, she pulled a notepad towards him and he obliged silently jotting it down before starting to read once more. She didn't say anything for a while, he finished page 70 and looked up at her to find her staring at him frowning.
"Umm was it too fast? He asked confusedly.
She shook her head slowly, and then spoke.
"Why are you doing this?
Omkara didn't know what to say. He looked around helplessly before attempting an answer.
"Umm because your glasses broke?
"That's not what I mean, she protested. "Why are you helping me? Why do you keep doing it?
Omkara snapped the book shut, uncaring of the thin cloud of dust that issued from it and folded his arms resting them over the book.
"Aren't we a bit late for this conversation?
She shrugged in a fair imitation of what he does when he was trapped into a conversation.
"Better later than never.
"Why do you come here, every evening? He questioned back, running a hand through his hair and pulling them back so that they would not obstruct his view of her.
"Why do you? she shot back.
"Because you do. He had picked up her way of giving short answers that lead nowhere. She scrunched her nose, when she noticed that. "Your turn.
"Because I hate writing from candle light, it gives me a headache.
"Candle...light? He repeated blankly before catching on. "Why not complete them during day time, after collage?
"I work part time till 6.30 He sighed unconsciously and she frowned. "Yeah, right. Pity me all you want. She stood up abruptly and started gathering her books and papers. He caught her wrist instantly. She stilled and looked down at him the same time he looked into her espresso eyes.
"I don't pity you, he said slowly, meaning each word he uttered. "I think its pretty amazing that someone could be so independent and strong at the same time.
"Ah uh, says the boy who has guards roaming the street around him, she said in a singsong tone, before packing her last book. "I don't like playing the rich guy's new pet...you can find someone else.
Omkara turned and looked over his shoulder, out at the street and indeed caught the sight of some security personal lurking on the opposite end of the corner. She might have seen them before him, hence the sudden question about his motive.
"I didn't call them... he tried to explain and she rolled her eyes.
"Sure you didn't. Your dad might have. So what are you, A Kapoor? A Rana? A Bajaj?
He stood up using his height as an advantage to shock her into a silence.
"You know, there's no difference between rich who hates poor and poor who hates the rich, both need to get their nuts checked. He packed his stuff faster than she did and spared time to scowl at her. "You had no qualms in using me until you got suspicious if I was using you in return. That's hypocrisy don't you think? And as for the guard, they sure are spying for my dad, who might have got a good vintage shot at your face by now. Since that's all you seem to care about I'll be sure to tell him there's nothing between us. I thought we could be friends, but for your kind information I don't like playing a poor girl's prince charming either.
He picked up his bag and turned his heel.
"It's Oberoi by the way, Omkara Singh Oberoi.
