LMAO! read the article. It is so weird to see him lashing out, taking a stand on behalf of his 34 yo son on an issue as frivolous as this.

I normally like Rishi, but on this I find it extremely selfish and unprofessional of both Ranbir and Rishi to blame Anurag Basu for the flop... Anurag Basu has a lot of faults and comes across as unprofessional in certain regards, but so are these are two then for blaming Basu. Rishi's thoughts are similar to his son's in that small clip posted in one of the topic...

If Basu delayed the product by not showing the film to producers, and causing monetary loss to parties and involved then i do agree with rushi. There is a money aspect to film making that needs to be understood. And the international laws and standards, that seems to have cost the film. Both Singapore and Gulf have sizeable Indian populations that could have benefitted the film at the end of the day. I don't usually side with any if these filmy folks... but the multiple delays, late trailer posting, Bira coming on as producer at a later stage... seems to be pointing at Basu wanting make something uber special, artistic without really considering the financial aspects. And then I'm sure creative issues was key factor in film getting de,syed. Sucks because looks like the movie avtuallt wasn't a bad one, and up realsed at the right time, would have made more money...which does matter at the end if the day

His points are very valid from a business standpoint however his son should have been a smarter producer if that was the prime goal.If he gave that leeway to Basu on creativity grounds then Basu isn't wrong in taking it.


They were hoping that in spite of the delays if the movie works then we won't say anything otherwise he is an irresponsible guy!!??

Basu displayed what he was like during Barfi itself, by Ranbir's own admission, Ranbir took a RISK anyway.

Who is to blame here again ????

They must have lost a lot and this is why he must be so angry at Basu.

Read on the forum that it was a business strategy to not release the movie on Thursday in Gulf but as per chintu it was a failure on Basu's part. The things people make up on the forum 😆
